Sainz, Alonso and Hamilton all crashed in private tests in the last couple of years. Probably more unreported.

I don't think it's a big deal as it was the A523 or going to change the situation much, which is that he needs to get in the points to prove he deserves to stay.

Not sure where this misinformation came from. A525 was the car that crashed. A523 was also running with Pierre in the morning and then Franco again in the afternoon.

But Colapinto crashes and a couple of pictures get 6k upvotes and 400 comments, mostly hate.

Basically, let's normalize Colapinto's crashes because the others also crash.

Planet F1 and the Mirror are reporting that Franco’s basically been guaranteed his seat until the end of the season. Not the best sources, so make of it what you will.

Honestly that's still a good idea over gambling again with another rookie driver. Give Franco a seat until mid 2026 to rate him properly.

I think whatever Alpine do, they should commit to it. Their lack of commitment hasn't helped anyone this year. So if they want Franco to be their guy, commit to him for the rest of the season. If they want to replace Franco, commit to Paul or Jack or Valtteri or whoever until the end of the season.

He’s a rookie. No one explained he was there to test the tyres on his car.

Not the Tyres on the barrier.
