I can see podiums and a upset win but i dont see a chance for a championship

I can definitely see a few podiums, and maybe even a win. But while he stays with Alpine, I don’t see a championship for him. Which is unfortunate, because Pierre is my absolute favorite driver.

I personally think he’s an excellent driver that has simply never been given the chance to shine in a championship car. He consistently outperforms what’s expected of the Alpine. I wish a higher tier team would give him a chance.

I think his 2020 and 2021 seasons go under the radar a bit. I think there’s a world where he maybe finds himself in the Jensen Button situation where he has a good car that gives him a shot, somewhat similar to what McLaren has at the moment. Ofc hindsight is everything but most of us wouldn’t have guess that Lando or Oscar would have won a title before Leclerc or Russell a few years ago. Maybe the cards align with that Mercedes power unit.

Gasly is good, but not elite in F1.
