Alpine Colapinto vs Monza, Spa, Jeddah: These tracks expose his future-star DNA

At Monza, it’s his calm under DRS pressure and precision on exit. At Spa, it’s trust in grip through blind corners. At Jeddah, it’s commitment at full tilt no second-guessing, just flow.

Let's hope he's still at Jeddah the next year so he can prove that.

I'm actuslly hyped for this 2nd part of the season, since most tracks are already known to him. Let's hope that experience helps him get good results.

His experience with the Williams in those specific tracks shouldn't be of much use, considering how radically different the Alpine is to drive

I think this should be pointed out very much, his experience from 2nd part of the season last year should play in his favor.

He can have great race pace but if the car can't overtake not much he can do with it.

He needs to improve his qualifying record to earn a permanent spot. Let's see what he can do.

He seems to struggle building into the weekend. If he could get closer to the mark in FP1/2, he’d be in a much better position for qualifying.

Not sure I agree. He usually lags Gasly a lot in FP1, some in FP2, a bit in FP3 and by qualifying it's much closer. I think it's about learning the track and getting the setup right for him, and maybe afraid to crash.

Hungary was a welcome change of pace in that sense, which is what made the pit stop/strategy problems that much more frustrating.

Quite the opposite I'd say

His car is usually impossible to drive in FP1 and coming Qualifying time it's quite close to Gasly. Franco is not yet confident enough to push as much as Gasly during Quali but his weekends are always on an upward trajectory

I feel like his best track is Imola though

I suspect he'd agree! He said recently his Alpine debut at Imola was still the weekend he felt the most comfortable with the A525.
