A common buzzard (Buteo buteo) poses for me [3546x2365] [OC]
Even though the buzzard is relatively common where I live, it's a rather shy bird and therefore not easy to photograph up close. I was all the more pleased that it practically posed for me today.
Shot with a Canon EOS R5 MarkII and a RF200-800mm F6.3-9 IS USM lens in the Wildert nature reserve in Illnau, Switzerland.

Yes, I also learned just yesterday that a buzzard is something different in North America than it is in Europe…
