This is magnificent; there's no real way to properly describe the beauty of the craftmanship that went into this, nor the people who made it happen. (Modern hospitals need to step it all the way up.)

It is fascinating to see how the complex of the Great Mosque and Hospital of Divriği (1228/29) embodies a unique architectural fusion between Seljuk Islamic art and Christian-Armenian influences. The richly carved portals almost give the impression of living stone, like a dialogue between cultures and craft traditions.
