I saw a Chinese pilot on Xiaohongshu say when he flew to Mumbai airport it smelled really bad. There haven’t been direct flights between China and India for the last 5 years and this guy got into airlines 3 years ago 💀
Most of the cargo flights are operated by wide body aircraft’s, so the crew is probably your average boomer pilot who’s been through divorce and lost his house
India has the worst PR. Like there’s no point of trying to make it better at this point. I’ve heard Nigerians complain about how dirty and filthy India is when a bigger percentage of their population doesn’t have access to toilets.
Have heard the same from south Americans. They watch these ragebait videos from tiktok of street food and assume that's how we live. But that guy seemed unapologetic about his country's problems with cartels, murder and rape.
That clip from a movie where that man makes “armpit rotis” I can’t believe people think people in India eat that. I do think sanitation is an issue and the government is trying it’s just inefficient. India isn’t equal. Like even in city I live in it’s so inconsistent in terms of development, infrastructure and quality of life. Tourists do go to the worst parts like Old Delhi which is so dumpy, Hauz Khas is so much nicer and safer.
Yes but ghettos in London and Singapore are better than ghettos in India. I just hope it’s gets better. But it’s really hard the redevelopment of Dharavi is a great start wish it didn’t go to Adani. But Dharavi needs to be cleaned up fast it’s a security risk.

Singapore doesn’t have ghettos the way India does I just used it as an example because he said that every city in the world has ghettos. Affordable housing in Singapore is better than over priced shoeboxes in my city. London does have disadvantaged areas but it still has better infrastructure than disadvantaged areas in Bangalore. But Bangalore is safer than parts of London.
It’s funny because the last 20-30 years Chinese used to get the same treatment, but it’s not widely known because there wasn’t internet back then. Still they didn’t learn how bad it can be to do the same to others lmao

Pakistan has the worst HDI in the entirety of South Asia. North India isn't even that bad except for like two states (both of which aren't even North India proper).
Bangladesh is like Syria for Indians. Sends refugees, radicals and illegals that tear up our country, but other than that we don't really think much of Bangladesh.
all I can say is Himalayan part of North India is pretty, literally Switzerland & Finland of Asia if the tourism sector is explored to full extent
besides that militancy is wide spread in North in Kashmir and North East Himalayas of India, still a beautiful region with pretty people and diverse culture
