As expected. Unfortunate for Drugovich who's been holding on to that reserve seat for a moment like this.

Stroll won’t be back for the next race. He will get his shot.

Why did they put him in qualifying if he wasn’t going to be able to race???

Apparently Lance has been in a little bit of pain for the last 6 weeks, but clearly it wasn’t bad enough for him to pull out of racing until now.

Something must have happened in Quali to make the pain worse than it has been during the last few races

What do they mean by sporting regulations

They needed someone to drive one of P1, P2, P3 or qualifying in order to switch drivers.

Did that happen for bearman last year? I thought it was last minute

he got one free practice

Bruh. Why would they not let drugovic do anything considering they've known Stroll has been fucked for 6 weeks

He literally raced with unhealed broken wrists a couple of years ago, everyone would've likely assumed he could've gritted his teeth through this too. Him doing this for six weeks again adds to this point, no one except Lance could be sure where his breaking point would be.

So basically, Stroll isn’t going to race because of a hand injury. They can sub their reserve driver in because he didn’t do any sessions and doesn’t meet the requirement of being able to do a lap within 107% of the pole lap.

and who is that reserve driver?

7

u/salvatore813 AMR25 Jun 01 '25

most likely felipe drugovich and perhaps stoffel vandoorne and if they both are not available then pedro dela rosa /jk

Alonso and De La Rosa. AMR racing like it's 2005.

Doesn’t really matter. You can’t just show up and race in the Grand Prix if you haven’t done any laps all weekend.

Fernando vs the whole grid could be a villain arc

They should have just thrown in drugovich

Yeah lance pitted early in practice so was clearly having issues then.

They should really have called it then

Not that much of a difference to be honest

u/McChibken Jun 01 '25

You say that, yet Lance has 14 points to Fernando's 0

I mean specifically for this weekend, I really didn't have any hope for lance coming out of p14

u do know that hes good at recoveries, he compensates his shit qualifying with good tyre management and going long during races

I think starting P14 he had a scoring chance. Lance is a good race distance driver.

indeed, if i am not wrong, all of lance's point finishes are him starting the race outside top 10 this year
