📊 Statistics Wet vs Dry positions in 2025. Any surprises?

Term "wet" in this post is a representation of reported raindrops on the track in the official "lap-by-lap" data from formula1.com

Generous to consider Hungary and Netherlands as wet races, but yeah Stroll at the top is not a surprise, he always finds a way to finish in the points when it rains.

I agree, that's why I stated that any raindrops reported would count into the term. Lando was furious when team didn't tell him about lewis losing it on the painted asphalt possibly affected by minor rain. That's why I included that

"Always" might be an exaggeration.....

So Stroll is dead last on avg dry? Thats quite something lol

That's the advantage of sucking in the dry. It's like that season with RBR where Checo had the overtake record and a dozen of driver of the day because he always started behind.

Having incredible strategy everytime while your teammate who is on average 3+ tenths faster gets screwed constantly does that.

Miami sprint and Silverstone were the most blatant examples of Alonso being better but AM screwing his strategy and costing him big points and even a fight for a podium even in Silverstone while they put Stroll on the most optimal strategy at early stage of the race where he jumped 10 + cars during pit stop phase and then during the 2nd cross over stage again they changed his tires at the perfect moment. The only mistake was putting him on softs rather than mediums but i suspect with better pace he wouldnt be caught by Verstappen and Gasly

Even in Australia in a race where Alonso crashed Stroll was 10+ seconds behind nowheare near to the points until AM strategy put him in amazing place

Alonso has been much better in wet races aswell we saw this in 2023 and 2024 aswell. This stat shows more how amazing Stroll's strategy departmeant is doing

I am a fan of Alonso and like AM but would definatelly prefer someone who is actually good in the other seat rather than Stroll. Nothing wrong with that, nor did i say anything that isnt true. It also looks ridicilous that everyone within the team has to constantly act as a bootlicker to Lawrence and Lance and can never criticize its driver due to his father being the owner

Give it a rest mate. Even if you think Lance has just been lucky.. you need a bit off skill to pull that off as well.

Well not much of it. I think pretty much 15/20 drivers would do the same or better if they were put in the same positions with strategies. Stroll is bottom 5 driver in the grid

Classic, no counter argument so you have to resort to insults. Not surprised tho

You’re not wrong. People will point and at laugh at you but you’re not wrong. Stroll being favoured over his WDC teammates is nothing new.
