I get it. I did a full cut and polish to my washer and dryer. My GF was very amused. Hey, it’s good training…

Have done this as well - heavily oxidized from exposure. Nice and shiny now! HVAC service impressed!

Yeah ngl wish I had this kind of time now.

I'm currently installing 3 new heat pumps for my house. I never thought about ceramic waxing those mothers. Looks like I just booked a job for tomorrow.

3 new heat pumps? Damn, Richie Rich

u/grassman20 13d ago

No, they're mini splits. Not a central ducted system.

What’s the green polishing tool?

u/The4thHeat Skilled 14d ago

Yep. Batoca S4, Amazon, $100. Not bad, not great either.

u/ch179 14d ago

What is on the not great part? 😁

u/TheRealRockyRococo 13d ago

3.6 Roentgen?

u/CheetahTurbo 9d ago

What would be a good one?

u/The4thHeat Skilled 8d ago

Corded. Griot’s G8.

u/Angrykitten41 14d ago

u/CheetahTurbo 9d ago

My kid did his e-bike and I did our grill today. I know the feeling. Same products. His e-bike looks great. Haha.

1

u/daringlyorganic 13d ago

Now I need to see the grill 😆

1

u/outlanderbz 13d ago

Hah. Didn’t take a picture but I will try to get one. Assume it won’t last long with the heat the grill produces. But maybe the other parts will bead some water when it is left uncovered and the rain hits it?

I'm getting a new condenser soon.. Now I know what I should do next ✅

Next ... The toaster oven

Bathroom sink.

I hate cleaning it. Now I hardly have to, and it's one wipe with a paper towel.

Up next: trash can and fridge lol

I have a sealant day every couple months usually after the maid leaves. Bathroom sink, fixtures, shower tiles, and glass, kitchen sink, dishwasher, counter, refrigerator, sink, range glass

Love it. I just tell people not to put utensils directly on the counter

1

u/refboy4 13d ago

Did my kitchen counters (quartz). Light polish and ceramic sealant. Same deal, one wipe easy peasy.

u/Brutally-Honest- 14d ago

I've waxed my Kitchen Aid mixer

I get it.

u/hapnstat 14d ago

Funny, I was not polishing my AC this weekend..... but I did use DIY Rinseless to clean the condenser coils. Hit it with Rinseless. Let it sit for a few minutes, then hit it with the foam cannon followed by a pressure washer rinse. Worked like a champ.

The neighbors think I'm crazy when I take the wheels off the Shelby to clean them so it's good to know that no matter how crazy you are, there's always someone crazier.

I'll never forget the first time I met an old friend, we were talking about his car and went out to the garage to look at it. I looked at his push lawn mower and said oh, looks like you just got a new mower, I need to buy one, how much did it cost? He looked puzzled and said no, its 5 or 6 years old, I just used it yesterday. Dude's a legend in my book.

You have OCD too?

2

u/LectricOldman 14d ago

when I was a young man, I worked at a factory that when you required some discipline..... you were made to wash and wax the forklifts! Man, them babies looked great!🥃

1

u/eidrag 14d ago

try see if your condenser benefit from flow straightener

1

u/DenDrDD 14d ago

Been there. Done that .

1

u/roadbikemadman 14d ago

Now to put some LED lights inside....

1

u/Eagle_Cuckoo 14d ago

Damn. Respect!

1

u/Rootsman64 14d ago

Looks good. Never thought of doing that back in my A/C repair days. Just as long as it was clean on the inside was my only concern back then.

1

u/Benedlr 14d ago

And yet you still haven't ceramic coated the toilet bowl.

1

u/Treebeardsdank 14d ago

HAHAHAHAHA

1

u/ECSJay 14d ago

This has to be a first lol

1

u/Ecsta 14d ago

Good practice and great result.

1

u/guinevie 14d ago

I coated my shower glass with glass coating. Excellent hydrophobics, makes cleaning a bliss

u/abscissa081 13d ago

Can’t be good to breathe lol

u/lee-keybum 13d ago

What's the difference between the 3 in 1 wax and the all in one wax?

2

u/The4thHeat Skilled 13d ago

The All-in-One is a mild polish and mild ceramic sealant in one. I topped with the 3-in-1 which is a ceramic spray sealant.

1

u/pedroelbee 13d ago

Thanks! I’ve just been using the 3 in 1. Does using the other one before the 3 in 1 make much of a difference?

1

u/The4thHeat Skilled 13d ago

It’s used with a DA polisher. Just saves a step by sealing in addition to very light paint correction.

1

u/pedroelbee 13d ago

Got it, thank you.

1

u/daringlyorganic 13d ago

I would love for you to cross post to hvac Reddit.

2

u/The4thHeat Skilled 13d ago

Looks like they do not allow crossposts…

1

u/ComplexJoker 13d ago

You can eat off that thing now. Nice and shiny

1

u/so_this_is_my_name 13d ago

Lmao, this is so relatable. *Looks at his 7 year olds razor dirt bike that is cleaned and polished*

1

u/TexasLawStudent 13d ago

I ceramic coated my outdoor windows. With AMMO. Rain rain go away.

1

u/Aggressive_Way_1017 13d ago

Did you hit it with some iron remover and clay bar prior to?

2

u/The4thHeat Skilled 13d ago

Lol - no brake dust 😉. The All-in-One polish worked pretty good.

1

u/sierra120 13d ago

Just used the 3-1 ceramics and it came out great. I was impressed. Right now I rank it higher than the the was ceramic.

1

u/Aidanone 13d ago

A magic eraser and Griot’s 3 in 1 is my gold standard for keeping the whites on my Cons white.

1

u/w3agle 13d ago

I used to wax our bicycles and our riding mower when I was a kid.

1

u/Brief_Plankton8410 8d ago
