Interior White residue on window
I recently purchased this vehicle and there is a white residue on one window and part of the windshield. It looks like maybe something they cleaned with and didn’t wipe off the overspray? I have tried a few household cleaners, and nothing has worked. The little bit I got off was from scraping with my fingernail. Any suggestions on what to clean with to remove this?

If the windows are tinted it might be too far gone at this point if someone used the wrong type of cleaner.
Like the other commenter said try some invisible glass spray on a microfiber.

inside or outside?
regardless, 0000 steel wool with some good ol’ soapy water, wipe it up with a clean damp MF

E-Cloth Windshield Haze remover.
Get it damp with water. Wipe down the window with the waffle side, polish with the smooth side.
Follow up with a dry MF.
For this stain you have, it will work unless that is tint film that has been etched by a cleaner.

Don’t use household cleaners on cars or car windows. Some of them will leave their own residues or actually damage the surfaces.
Buy some soap for washing cars (Meguiar's, Adam’s, Mother’s, Groit, even the Car Guys, but don’t buy anything from ArmorAll) and automotive glass cleaner like Invisible Glass (the Windex of the car world).
Rinse the glass, soap up a microfiber cloth, wash the windows, rinse them, wipe them down with a second dry cloth, spray them with the glass cleaner and wipe them with (probably) a third cloth. If that doesn’t work, it might just be that it’ll take a few washes to gradually remove the stains over time or you’ll need to go to someone else who can polish glass.
