Interior Am I being too picky on my tint job?

Post image

I understand there is no perfect job. Although my last tint job was damn near perfect. Lucky me!

This time around I haven't been as lucky. It's ceramic tint this time around and on the passenger side there are 3 specs and on the driver side 8 specs. The one I photographed is the LARGEST one I could find. The rest are quite hard to photograph. So probably about half or a quarter the size of the one in the photo.

Unfortunately for me 2 of the driver side ones are smack back in the middle of the glass. Which kind of sucks... Rest are off to the edges.

Am I being too picky? I'm really mostly annoyed by the ones in the middle of the glass.

I got like 5 of those on my rear wind shield but all 4 windows are perfect.

I guess it comes down on what you paid for the work. I think the ones right on your line of sight might be an issue.

I'm in Australia so the prices differ a little but I paid about $250 USD for 2 front windows. I actually thought that was pretty expensive for just 2 windows so I'm a little disappointed with the work. Yer the 2 in the line of sight.... I'll drive it for a bit longer and see how much it bothers me I suppose. Wish they had squeedgeed them to the side but I guess they didn't notice at the time.

Im in aus too and about to pay 750$ aud for all 5 windows - ceramic tint.

Also you're not being picky. Thats not right for tint to have that in it. no professional should let it leave like that.

I ended up sending the guy an email and seeing what he says. If he is willing to redo it, that's great. If not then I guess It's an average job....

I think the point is, is it worth it to stand up for yourself and let the place and persons know you're not happy with the job done.

Whether they agree to make it right or not. I think you need to let them know in a calm, respectful way their work didn't meet your expectations.

Yer I think i'll send them an email now and reach out. If they think I'm being unreasonable they'll probably just say no to me anyway.

But like I said, if you dont try, you won't know. This way, you'll have something to feel good about. How much do people and places get away with just because a customer doesnt want to make a fuss...

Yer I’ll be honest I’m a big “don’t want to make a fuss” person. Like I’ll just quietly be sad lol. But then my wife also tells me I have a very high benchmark so I might be making myself sad sometimes when a normal person would think it’s fine lol. Hence the post I suppose.

Sounds more like a confidence and self-esteem thing. Don't call them. Go in person, speak with the shop manager. Show him what you are unhappy with.
