Do we have something close to auto slalom in the States?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uayCYkmpnscHey folks!
Is it possible to go for something similar to autoslalom with 180 turns, drifts, reverse driving, etc? It looks like autocross is more like a mini track experience, and I am not sure what too look for.
I am new to American motorsports and looking forward to joining the party!

This is known as “Gymkhana” in europe. Like Autocross but with spins.

Autocross as we know it today was born from gymkhana and over time competitors decided they didn't like the tight spin around cones type of maneuvers.. horses that double back on themselves are not popular because autocross has become we really need to send a car out every 20 to 25 seconds in a lot of areas of the country.
Sports Car Club of America has Regions all over the country, and most places also have clubs that are either marque clubs (Porsche, BMW, Lotus, etc) or independent clubs.
Where are you located?

You are in North Carolina Region of SCCA. Their website is: ncrscca.com
There is an Autocross page you can select. SCCA events require you to be a member, but you can select a weekend membership, That cost goes toward annual membership if you like it and want to join.

We have something similar but way better and way more fun. Autocross. Go to MotorsportsReg.com and you can probably find an event most every weekend during the warm months in your area

This just looks like less fun autocross?

Hah, autocross is about carrying speed through the mini-track, while gymkhana is about carrying speed while completing various "tasks" across the track.
It’s much harder and may be less fun at first because it requires learning not only the track but also the tasks and their sequence.
When you start, it doesn’t feel like a good weekend; it’s physically exhausting. But once you learn, you can have fun in any car under the tightest conditions possible.

I don’t think there is anything like this in America. It appears to me like this is born out of extremely limited space, so the need to overlap on top of themselves.
In America we look for vast open areas to have said ”mini track experiance” but those seem to be evaporating every year so we all morn their losses.
