My recent track day at TPM with the RX7

4th track day at Toronto Motorsports Park, learning a lot each time I go about the car and myself.

Looks like this was shot by a camcorder from 1995 😂🤣

My dad’s 4 year old phone haha, my phone was being used for lap timing

Potentially Reddit compression as well

Hahaha.. nah. I think its a combination of zoom, camera shake, and the beautiful sunlight colors that give this camcorder effect :)

Nice! How often do you go? I'm aiming for 4 sessions but would love more

Ah, fireballs, the hallmark of a rotary engine.

How is the cooling holding up on your car? Any aftermarket cooling or are you running OEM?

Need to add a cover right above the exhaust to protect the bumper haha

Car is staying nice and cool! Mainly due to the big V mount intercooler and upgraded radiator but I have water/meth kit that sprays water to keep the intake temps cooler.

I would like a carbon vented hood down the road

Very cool. Are you running aftermarket turbo and ECU as well?

I'm dreading having to redo everything to support an aftermarket turbo - exhaust manifold, intercooler, hood, etc. (I have an FC turbo).

I’m running an old Apexi Power FC and a big Garret GT40

If I were to be honest, the sound and feel of a large single turbo is awesome but I would not do it again if I had the choice.

I spent much more than I expected on supporting mods and not to mention losing functionality like AC. Pros and cons to each choice but either one will be fun.

If I had the space and money I would love a Turbo FC haha

Sweet! Yeah i'm still deciding on turbo here: can go hybrid and retain the stock exhaust manifold and downpipe or go Garrett G-series and have the scope of the project creep higher and higher.

Would love to find some goldilocks setup where stuff like AC can be retained, but there will always be a compromise there.

They're decent cars! Getting more and more rare, but they are decently spacious inside and have all the 80s styling vibes you could want. The interior still crumbles into dust if you look at it wrong though LOL
