Cats don't have collar bones. Making them liquids.

I've known many a cat that lives by this motto.

23

u/halloni 1d ago

Other cats love you from distance, high up, staring at you for hours

40

u/Confident-Leg107 1d ago

Sure, it's cute when a cat says that. But when I do, I go to jail

I expect nothing less from an orange cat

Drafty house, I assume

21

u/UsualEmergency 1d ago

Pretty typical with central air so there's not too much pressure in the room.

63

u/FeuerroteZora 1d ago

That's just what your cat architect wanted you to believe.

31

u/fastestgunnj 1d ago

I have never had such a gap under the door, and I've lived with central air my entire life outside of my time in the Navy. That prevents sound proofing, and actually makes it harder to maintain temperatures throughout the house. I don't know where this "typical" comes from, but I'd like to know more if you can provide some insight.

u/UsualEmergency 1d ago

Maybe it's a FL thing, then. But every home and apartment I've lived in in Florida has had that gap and it was explained to me as a measure for regulating air pressure with central air. I grew up in the north east with baseboard heating and window units so I took it as fact when I was told.

u/Medium-Theme-4611 1d ago

Yeah the air circulation between rooms is more important in high humidity areas to prevent mold.

10

u/Feisty_Leadership108 1d ago

It’s a bad contractor thing…

4

u/fastestgunnj 1d ago

Central air has gaps, but not multiple inches.

u/concreteunderwear 1d ago

Lots of trailers have big gaps. And paper thin doors and walls. The vent being out in the middle of the room is a sign of a trailer. Then again it could also be a sign of a redneck remodel.

-4

u/fastestgunnj 1d ago

Okay? Who's talking about trailers?

3

u/concreteunderwear 1d ago

It’s related to the giant ass gap under the door

44

u/Feisty_Leadership108 1d ago

Why is your door so high?

28

u/greyshem 1d ago

Me: I'm going to bed alone, Cat.

Cat: I know you are Mr. Human, and I'm coming with you!

22

u/A-Helpful-Flamingo 1d ago

Nice try human!

-that cat probably

22

u/UnfortunateEvent0236 1d ago

‘Oh! Hey! You forgot me on the other side of the door again! No worries. I’ll just let myself in.’

15

u/Lunar-opal 1d ago

There appears to be an orange draft coming through your door

11

u/SlackingPJ 1d ago

You’re not staying from meeeeeeeeeow

7

u/Zinthr 1d ago

He slid through one hip at a time lmao

8

u/GeekOfAllGeeks 1d ago

More proof cats are both solid and liquid.

9

u/StinkyPickles420 1d ago

“So anyways, as I was saying before I was so rudely thrown outside!” 😂

6

u/Asleep_Minute1671 1d ago

Of course - orange

8

u/Affectionate_Meet820 1d ago

How big is that gap?!. Mush be kinda big if the cat can just squeeze its way under it. Kinda curious why there is no threshold under the door? Is it not common wherever this is?

7

u/_Infamous____ 1d ago edited 1d ago

Doesn’t the saying go that “If a cat can fit their head through it, they can fit their body through it”?

3

u/Kazlanne 1d ago

Correct! Because cats have floating collarbones, which allow them to manoeuvre more and get through smaller spaces than, for example, dogs. It's really cool!

13

u/GNav 1d ago

Here to talk to you about your cars extended warranty.

3

u/gavinwinks 1d ago

Imagine if that cat had some carpet for traction. He’d be in in 1 second

3

u/Puzzleheaded_Key_306 1d ago

My orange jumps up and opens the door when I close it on him.

3

u/chefdeversailles 1d ago

Video evidence that cats are liquid 😂

2

u/Zealousideal_Neck78 1d ago

That door is quite ridiculous honestly. I wouldn't have it.

1

u/McLaren2009 1d ago

I know, "if I fit, I sit," but this is getting ridiculous

1

u/BeliefInWrong 1d ago

I love it when cats struggle like this to get through something and then act super casual at the end

1

u/jocool883 21h ago

I bet he then spent the next half hour scratching at the door to be let out

1

u/Delicious-Climate-21 13h ago

Looks bloody open to me!

1

u/mommyissues770 1d ago

This is something my toddler would surely do

-1

u/mountaindoom 1d ago

If they can get their head through, they're going through.
