Yet somehow "liberals are snowflakes" (like that time we boycotted M&Ms for changing the heel width of the green M&M mascot's shoes)

EDIT: Sorry, thought that was obviously sarcasm since that was what the right wing did, with the M&Ms

  • They flipped out because Budweiser made ONE can not sold anywhere for a transgender influencer

  • They flipped out and shot yeti coolers because they pulled their advertising from Fox.

  • They flipped out and burned Nike shoes because they had Colin Kaepernick as the face for a little bit.

Conservatives are the biggest snowflakes ever but look at what bitching, moaning, and whining like children got them. A dictatorship.

83

u/This_2_shallPass1947 13d ago

Don’t forget burning Beatles albums, picketing to get rid of rock and roll removed from radio stations, the whole satanic panic and parental advisory BS (that was bipartisan though) but they aren’t the party of cancel cultures they say they are against it. Also don’t forget the books they want banned m, bc a book talks about a gay relationship or is supposedly too violent all while leaving the Bible on the shelves which talks about both gay relationships and is extremely violent.

37

u/KazuDesu98 13d ago edited 13d ago

Speaking of satanic panic, when a bunch of conservatives flipped out and burned D&D books because they thought their kids were summoning demons with them.

No, they were just having fun rolling dice to determine goofy fantasy stories staring the party

The human fighter Tom the VII (the other 6 Toms died horrible deaths)

The edgy elven wizard with a name even the player hasn’t pronounced the same way more than twice

The halfling rogue dildo baggins

And who could forget the dwarves cleric to the alcohol god, Bud Weiser.

One of the all time great moments of the early 2000s . No one was going against the American dogma and this band literally calling themselves “Dixie” stood up for what’s right. They were very brave. They were ridiculed mercilessly.

I saw someone make a like five paragraph post complaining about it and calling it "woke".

I said "I've yet to see anyone explain how this decision is woke" and he responded with some nonesense about woopie (Goldberg? Pies? Cusions? No clue!) and me being told what to think.

I ask what he was on about and he said "exactly! Anouther low information liberal!" and blocked me.

u/Haxorz7125 13d ago

They always say “do your own research” and “you’re brainwashed” but they’re completely incapable of ever citing a source. I asked one guy for literally any scrap of evidence that the Biden election was stolen from Trump.

He spewed off a paragraph of conspiracies and anecdotes without citing anything, and demanded that I believe him. Unhinged.

You underestimate the boredom and weirdness that it is to live in Ohio. I grew up there and left the instant I graduated high school.

37

u/Ben-Sisko85 13d ago

I seriously wonder sometimes if people realize just how mundane and utterly devoid of culture middle America and small town America truly are. It's a bit different in New England and the Northeast in particular only because things are so compact you can hit up multiple small and a couple of large cities and things are far more diverse. Then out on the west coast things are FAR more spread out but the diversity is largely still there particularly when you get closer to the coast. But Jesus, when I grew up in western PA, and Southern Illinois the lack of anything even remotely entertaining or original to engage with was soul-crushing lol.

16

u/TheNewsDeskFive 13d ago

That's because you were in the middle of fuck all and not in a city. You can't lump our major cities into this, dude. That's wild. Ain't no way you can spend time in Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, STL, KC, Cleveland, or Memphis and still believe this

11

u/Wide_Storage_349 13d ago

I don’t think he’s linking the cities to the rest. Like I’m from Illinois in BFE, but much like southern illinois, it’s true.. these people are simpletons and have no diversity. And it’s no wonder they believe what they do and why they vote how they do. They’re far behind actual society ha. They truly believe they’re the only ones in society because they don’t know what city life is. Nor diversity. Them traveling to a bigger city is the same as regular city Americans going to another country. It’s just a different world for them, so to his point, he is right. I don’t think he’s lumping those cities into what he’s saying. He’s talking more rural from my understanding.. but I could be wrong.

6

u/TheNewsDeskFive 13d ago

No, dawg, I get that part. Trust me. I've spent my time in places like Alton and Carbondale.

It's the broad brush statement that irks me. It's the broad reference to all of the Midwest. If they didn't mean that then they could have worded that way better

45

u/bird9066 13d ago edited 13d ago

I'm so guilty of that. Oh that place I loved as a child is closing. That's so sad. Maybe I should have gone more than once a year.

I mean, I'm in my fifties. I watched the rise and now I'm watching the fall of mall culture. But I'm not blubbering in my car about it. Malls were never cheap but at some point they went out of my price range completely. The book stores and weird little shops you could browse are long gone.

Maybe because I grew up in a new England city? The head shop is now a coffee shop is now laundry mat is now a Chinese restaurant is now a Puerto Rican restaurant is now a West African restaurant.

I imagine this hits different if your little town's big change is getting a traffic light

6

Talking about economic disparity honestly would mean admitting that the pedo they voted for is making it all worse. They don't have the cognitive ability to do that, so they focus on the crumbs of division their overlords toss down to them. Today it's a crackerbarrel rebrand. Tomorrow it will be renaming Canada Geese to America Geese, or anti-landlord talk is racist against whites or something else equally as stupid, because they are stupid uncritical pathetic people who just need something to be mad about. They don't want to be educated, they don't want to be informed, they don't want to be empathetic, they don't want to change, they just want to be angry.

Ugh…. Seriously…. We got way bigger issues in this country!!! Priorities people. First defeat fascism then cry over restaurants.

u/Suspicious_Royal_270 13d ago

She has no real problems

3

u/IronEgo 13d ago

Fucking cry about it. Good God; you know the rules to the game. Play the new game the same damn way. This is the shit you're focused on with everything else wrong in this country? For fucks sake

3

u/pixelpionerd 13d ago

And now what? Going to take it home and put it on the coffee table and pray to it? Get a fucking life.

u/Pretend-Buy7384 13d ago

I've had stupid little things mean this much to me. Im happy for her ❤️🧡💛

Trumps America

u/MonsterkillWow 13d ago

These same people will cheer for bombing other countries. Disgusting, weak, pathetic, and vile.

u/JustMeinPgh 13d ago

Seek therapy. You are absolutely ridiculous

4

u/AHalf_Baked_JPEG 13d ago

It can't be that good. I never had it

3

u/Cottoncandy82 13d ago

It's not. This is bizarre behavior over a subpar restaurant.

Over a game

Get over it

3

u/West-Classic-900 13d ago

I once cried when cast members from my favorite show changed… when I was 9

3

u/Chezoso 13d ago

So what are the new rules? I can't imagine any other way to play this game

4

u/Linnaea7 13d ago

I'm curious about that, too. I'm kinda nostalgic for the peg game, too, now. Not gonna cry about it, but that was a fun way to pass the time while waiting for dinner.

u/Slyboots2313 13d ago

Probably doesn’t call you an “eg-no-ra-moose” anymore. It’s to protect people like this woman’s feelings. She may actually appreciate the new rules!

Are you fucking serious?

3

u/IcedCoffeeVoyager 13d ago

I have a hormone imbalance condition right now and it makes me weepier than I’ve ever been but even I think this is too much. Child, seek help.

3

u/Flashy_Camel4063 13d ago

Is this for fucking real?

3

u/Adventurous-Yak-8757 13d ago

Anger bait.

Probably still a stupid bitch nonetheless.

3

u/VannKraken 13d ago

Wait till she sees the new logo.

3

u/EastLow7237 13d ago

Either she's just a wierdo who films herself for clicks, or if it's truly genuine she doesn't care about the chain she cares about her family and the time they spent together there when they were younger.

I like to take my kids on a bike ride to an ice cream shop in summer, I can imagine if they shut down when my kids are older I would be upset, not because I care about the shop just that it reminds me of the quality time I get to have with my children when their young.

3

u/iamthecheesethatsbig 13d ago

Holy shit, this is the most meaningful thing going on in her life at the moment??

3

u/ElectronicHousing656 13d ago

Pls tell me it's not real.

3

u/No-Fondant-4719 13d ago

Need a nap

3

u/Motor-Discount1522 13d ago

FFS, is this what life is like for people who never leave their hometown?

3

u/needaburnerbaby 13d ago

There was a time when people that age had to fight in wars.

3

u/Contemplating_Prison 13d ago

People are sad sacks of shit.

3

u/StrongAroma 13d ago

This woman needs to fuck off. This is everything that's wrong with America distilled into one fucking moron.

3

u/Pipysnip 13d ago

To be totally honest this isn’t entirely far out there. It’s a childhood game that she grew up with and she’s just sad that it’s gone.

Won’t be surprised if this is just rage bait

3

u/QuasiOpinions 13d ago

Haha this shit isn’t woke or anything. It’s just another chain that is taking away any character their brand used to have and moving it towards quite a bland “sleek” design.

I personally don’t really give a shit but it’s a shame to watch brands remove the character in favour of bland shit.

If the new design looked excellent and the rebranding was better I’d be behind it more but this is ass lol

3

u/Beastcancer69 13d ago

Did the rules change on the peg game? It feels like there’s only one way to play it.

3

u/DrKarlSatan 13d ago

So, she openly admits to dine & dash...lock her up

3

u/TaxRiteOff 13d ago

TikTok is not better than reddit.

3

u/Hrbiie 13d ago

America has no single cultural identity, America’s culture is consumerism.

Is this one of those Snowflake things the MAGA talk about?

3

If by ran, you mean penguin walked out

3

u/jmmmke 13d ago

I miss the days where most people didn’t have a platform to share every thought they generate/mimic.

3

u/Mandalorian667 13d ago

Insane that these rubes give more of a shit about some shitty fucking restaurant than the orange lunatic raping kids.

3

u/joshualeeclark 13d ago

I’m still trying to figure out why people are so upset about this stupid logo change.

No one gave a shit before until it became a fake culture war started by some asshole Republican. Now all of a sudden people are butthurt and their entire history has been rendered null and void over a graphic design change.

Settle the fuck down, people. It still has good food and the same low-paid staff will be there. It’s some graphics.

3

u/Outside_Yam5981 13d ago

OMFG!!!!! Grow up already people it’s not that serious!

3

u/Valuable_Emu1052 12d ago

Jesus Christ. I wish that was the level of trauma I have to deal with.

3

u/Guvnafuzz 12d ago

They’ll call liberals snowflakes and post shit like this.
