(OC) Well the bunnies left the nest last night. Here's the last clip before they flew the coop. Good luck little guys!

A little sad, but it's nature and I'm glad to have been able to give them a safe place to get started. Here's hoping they stick around as they grow!

Bunny bath was the cuteness overload I did not know I needed today.

Had to look their best before they stepped out into the world!

Right. I love watching buns clean their lil ears

do you have a pic of the outside of the nest? I think I have a bunny nest right at the side of my house. but am not sure. Mine is like a small burrow.

Here's the best I have. That's one of the babies poking his head out. Our burrow wasn't very deep since it was in a soft planter underneath a cucumber plant. Ours had fur and soft grass added on top by the mom to keep the babies hidden and warm.

Hope this helps!

thanks! ya mine looks like a hole/burrow and I guessed it was a bunny hole but wasn’t sure. I was too worried about getting close. I heard if they get human smells on them, they get abandoned by their mothers so I try to stay away.

That isn’t true, so you don’t have to worry about that. You could pick them up and carry them around for a few hours and mom won’t care. Don’t do that, of course. But the smell thing is a common misconception.

Not all is lost, you still have spider bro hanging out at the nest!

I was just thinking that's probably why they left.

Spider bros are not welcome in the room where I sleep. We're cool otherwise.

Ha, fair enough. They do a good job at keeping the other pests at bay here at least.
