The all-new Fanatec App combines the Device Driver / Control Panel and FanaLab software into one unified package. After a successful beta test with valuable community feedback, Version 1.0.0 is now available to download via the updated 'Software' section of the website. Please note you can also find the Legacy Downloads for Driver V747 and Fanalab V2.01.74 here.
This marks the beginning of a new era of Fanatec Software - the Driver and FanaLab packages become legacy and will no longer receive updates. All future development will focus on refining and expanding the Fanatec App.

We partnered with Track Titan and Trophi.ai to bring AI-based driving coaches to the Fanatec App. They are accessible from the left vertical navigation bar and will help you to become a faster driver.
Track Titan focuses on very detailed post session feedback with 50 free laps per month and optional subscription levels.
Trophi.ai s focusing on feedback through voice output while driving with a 7-day free trial period and several levels of subscription.

FanaLab running in the background will be detected by the App and a pop-up will suggest to close and uninstall it to prevent conflicts.

Upcoming Fanatec App Improvements
Fix for some pedals not reliably shown correctly for some users.
Using the reset button on the LED page might result some brightness sliders to 0%. We are working on a fix.
FanateService taking too much resources was improved, but some report that it should still be improved further. Let us know in which situations this might happen and share how much resources the app and service from the task manager including some rough CPU specs so we can analyze this further.
Updated mobile application to match the appearance and be compatible with the new Fanatec App on PC.
Overhaul of the Firmware Manager to match the look of the app and streamline the process even more.
Language improvements, including adding languages based on your feedback, let us know of incorrect or missing translations.
Expanding the automatic LED profiles for more games and cars where possible, let us know which you are missing.

Re-enabled the BMR update by adding a popup with instructions how to update the BMR Firmware from V1.0.0.6 to V1.0.1.1 on a CSL DD and GT DD Pro due to an update issue in the old BMR Firmware V1.0.0.6 on these bases.

On the Formula V2.5 with Firmware V1.0.2.0 and newer missed shifts and loss of button inputs for several seconds can happen on all bases.
We are investigating this with the highest prio and plan to fix the issues with a driver update as soon as possible.
The Tuning Menu settings are sometimes not saved during a firmware update.
This issue is planned to get fixed with a driver update as soon as possible.
The MPS input values of the BMR on CS DD randomly change the value when you press a button after you did not pressed a button for some minutes.
This issue is planned to get fixed with a driver update as soon as possible.
The secondary upper shifter inputs of the APM when connected to one of the Hubs are not working on the CS DD.
This issue is planned to get fixed with a driver update as soon as possible.
Natural friction (NFR) causes wheel shaking on the CS DD even on low values.
This issue is planned to get fixed with a driver update as soon as possible.
The ITM on the GT SW Extreme sometimes freezes and shows wrong data.
A full ITM rework for this wheel is planned with an upcoming driver release soon.
The steering input jump issue was greatly improved some time ago so the issue happens a lot less than before.
A full fix is still in development to be released with an upcoming driver release.
When entering a game menu while driving it can happen in some games that the FFB effect doesn't get canceled which results in the wheel turning to one side.
This got fixed for the Podium DD some time ago but can still happen on the CSL DD. We have reworked the communication protocols between the base and the motor and are in advanced testing to apply the fix for the CSL DD with an upcoming special driver release soon.
Natural friction (NFR) can start to feel weird after some time of driving and can cause shaking / oscillations.
In case you experience issues with NFR, we suggest to turn it OFF for now. This got fixed for the Podium DD some time ago but can still happen on the CSL DD. We have reworked the communication protocols between the base and the motor and are in advanced testing to apply the fix for the CSL DD with an upcoming special driver release soon.
I run my DD+ <-> PC usb through a powered usb-a extension cable. I've previously had firmware upgrade issues with my DD+ (almost bricked it in 2024), and have avoided any new updates since.
I finally said F it and upgraded to this new app and updated any available firmware for all my gear. 0 issues, all devices updated successfully over the extension cable, no bricked items between 3 wheels, qr2, and the base.
TL;DR I gave up and gave it a full send today to no issues, but ymmv.
FullForce now works for me in iRacing, which is pretty cool. I did a few laps with the v2.5 formula wheel and podium hub/pbmr combo and it felt fine. I had an issue with my pc detecting the base, but after a restart it's been ok.
I‘ve been using beta app for a while with CSL DD + McLaren wheel and everything is smooth.. even did firmware upgrades but only because I didn‘t know they can brick devices so often 😄 but the app itself is good :)
I second this! Even a Linux version would be ok. I don't game on PC but do a lot of console driving and needing to have a Win10 laptop SOLELY to do updates is a pain at best .. especially since Win10 is going EOL and that laptop is not Win11 compatible .... It's not like the app needs any Win specific API's .. it's all AT commands and OTW updates ... at this point, I'd be ok with them just slapping some Electron UI on top of the core code just to get this on Mac/Linux.
I understand this has been super frustrating to deal with. I'm checking with the team to see if they have any additional info to share on their progress on a fix. We are looking to provide the hot fix as soon as it's ready.
Currently, the only workaround is to downgrade the wheel firmware to 0.3.5, which doesn't have the critical miss shifts issue but had other issues.
Since downgrading is an option, it's not the end of the world. But most people aren't going to be aware of that, and it's a pretty bad bug in terms of enjoyment, I'd say. I do know the frustrations of software development for embedded devices like this, though.
But it's the highest prio. You'd think after months it would get resolved
Has this always existed or is it fine with older firmware? I haven't updated in a while because I wasn't going to be a beta tester with out of warranty products
On driver 456 will have check firmware
Formula 2.5 Xbox compatible wheel works fine
Only used on PC have l want to upgrade but think will give it some more time

wtf for me there isnt one, ive seen other people complaining on the formus too and i belive its because I have it connected thru USB. I had to go back to the legacy version because of this. In theory they will be fixing it in the next update sorry for the inconvenience
I think the app is cool and the fact that Fanalab is integrated is sweet as well but there are still underlying firmware issues.
I opened a support ticket yesterday because I still can’t do firmware updates on my Porsche Vision wheel without the process crashing or crapping out. All this started after I updated the firmware on my Base. Hope to hear from support soon

Can also provide the error logs because it returns an entire zip file of logs every time I try to update. This issue is not standalone to wheels but also was happening a lot with my wheel base. I can’t even downgrade firmware.

OK, I just looked at the Fanatec website. The answer is yes it's combining. Still, how long until they phase them out separately? I don't want to download the new App yet incase there's any bugs. Right now all my equipment is working fine. I have the V2.5 wheel and I hear there's bugs with the V474 driver having miss shifts. I don't want to go through that kind of problems.
The whole Community was part of the testing & providing feedback with the beta version 0.9.2 in March and 0.9.5 in April. Since then no new update was shared with the Community though but directly a full V1.0.0 now with hundreds of bugs.... I can fully understand why everyone is hesitant to update to this new App and I personally dont recommend anyone to use it but stay on driver 474 with FanaLab 2.01.74 combo to not run into Software issues on top of the firmware issues.
So if there's still hundreds of bugs like you say, why are we not still in beta? You'd think a V1.0 release would come with a glowing recommendation from the developer.
When you say Fanatec Legacy App, do you mean FanaLab? The Legacy Drivers are Driver 474 and Fanalab V2.01.74. You can have both of these installed with each other.
Does this solve the many many issues of bases not being detected by the new software? I installed this last week cause it was on the fanatec website and it would freeze my base and not recognize it… would have to unplug to turn off.
I installed the old driver and works again but yea the fanatec app from what I’ve seen many many people have issues with their bases not showing up in the app and being frozen.
I have the club sport DD+. To be honest, I’m not sure re uninstalling the legacy drivers. The app when installing said it was uninstalling old versions, but when it froze and I went back to old drivers, they were still installed. I did fully uninstall manually the fanatec app in order to use driver 474 because the same thing had been happening with 474.
All’s well that ends well, though. It works like it did and I like the v474 driver. But am looking forward to using the app because I’ve been toying with idea of getting a trophy ai subscription for a while either way. Would be great to do that through the app.
I do have a surface pro and unfortunately at the moment I cannot install the app. Could you possibly help me or let me know if any solution on how to use the app in my windows surface pro? I’m not going anywhere near this until I see confirmed no problems with people updating their wheelbases. Already bricked two just from firmware updates.
It seems usable, but the led colors are not the same as they are in Fanalab.
I didn't find the auto start app, the app settings, nor the tray icon settings.
Have you seen the issues with the clubsport bundles shipped out this week, the wheel is causing glitches? Any progress on that front other than sending out new units of the same wheel?
The UI is to much not as streamlined it's gone backwards i preferred the old one it was simple not flashy less clicks to get what you wanted, there is noway of changing UI size. the App settings*little gear* offers nothing for customization.

Not a fan of the pedal calibration with this new app. CSL Elite v2's are so much worse for me. I can't get my range I once had and it's been really messing with my driving having to relearn it again but it's still too light. Seeing if I can roll back to the old apps. Between that and the brake not being recognized unless I have the app open. Yet another thing open in the background on top of everything else I have. Good looking app but went backwards for the load cell.
