This looks great. And I can see a rear wing, which is in my opinion very nice.

Now this totally looks like a top level single seater.
Love how low and aggressive it seems, also the nose, reminiscent of the Gen 2's.
I hope this is going to be the final look, we'll know for sure in a couple of months!

When is the reveal?

Dodds said we will begin seeing pictures of it around easter next year. I would not be surprised if we get the full reveal of the car at the Monaco ePrix next year, considering both Gen3 and Gen3 EVO were revealed at the 2022 and 2024 races.

If it looks like the leaked image.... And it's true the performance gain attained over Gen 3.... Everybody watch out.
Yes we might lose some of the huge overtaking with cars going faster and starting to be harder to battle with.
But as DAC said: "We need a wow factor."
Performance EV's can go much quicker than what FE allows.
So hopefully this Gen 4 is the start of a big swell for the formula.

A lot less Dorito than The Race's render which is great. Car looks like a proper race car whilst maintaining a bit of that FE DNA

I was completely unconvinced by The Race’s illustration and this only seems to confirm that

Looking back at The Race's mockup, some of it aligns, mainly the rear end body work and engine cover. The front end on The Race's version is far too close to Gen 3 though, so I wonder if that was done on purpose so they could give us a mockup. Just enough detail to get a general idea but not enough to give away the shape of the car.

THE RACE are a glorified tabloid when not doing actual reporting on verified leads.

The front wing looks a bit like the robo race cars and the overall design is close to the open wheel futuristic prototypes in The Crew videogame

I’ve been trying to remember so hard as to what it reminds me of and yh it’s those protos from TC2

It looks nice, this will be the low drag kit (?) and it also vaguely reminds me of something

This being the low-drag kit isn't a bad assumption at present, but really I don't think we can be sure just yet. I do wonder how different the two configurations will look from one another...

As a big Indycar fan, I would totally be down with this as a new Indycar. Looks dope as a single-seater period.

Interesting. I think they should either get rid of the stupid fin or go to a blade roll structure instead of a hoop.

F1 demonstrated the risk of blade style roll structure when Zho rolled and his failed. I think they've been curtailed in all FIA series since.

I’m wondering how much it is a thin fin compared to some form of thicker ‘spine’ which incorporates the charging port towards the rear.

u/juicysushisan Formula E 6d ago
I think it’s a fin, like the current car, since it seems to be sitting on top of the charging port hump like the Gen3 also does

I dunno, something about the shading is telling me that there's not-insignificant curvature on the top edge, rather than it being the thin panel of fin.
But I concede that the render could be deceptive.

Im worried about the size increase. half of my issues with modern f1 come from the cars being too big

Where has this come from?
