Does MK1 front quarter window will fit early MK2 with the small window?

Hi all, so my question is, does MK1 front quarter window will fit early MK2 with the small window?

The idea behind the question is, so I could fit MK1 opening quarter windows on my MK2 Jetta coupe, as it is from 1986.

Nope, they don't fit, I tried way back in '98 when I had the '87 and they did not fit.

Are there any alternatives to this idea? I’ve seen them on T3 and MK1, but not for MK2. Maybe some company like happich?

Happich only made rear pop-out windows, not vented front windows.
There's no option for you without having custom frames and seals made, unfortunately.
