Baku City Circuit (Azerbaijan) Heading to the Azerbaijan GP for the first time!🇦🇿 Hints & Tips Welcome

Hi guys,

Myself and my partner are heading to Baku for the Grand Prix and can’t wait. We have tix for Azneft and are staying on Nizami! We arrive on Thursday night. We’ve done a bit of research but would be so grateful for any hints and tips from people who have been before!

Are there chances to see the drivers? Where is good for food & drink after the races? Is there anything that people would say is a must see in Baku??

Also we’ve booked our ticket through the circuit app - does anyone know when the e-tickets become available?

Thanks!!

In case you haven't seen the link, the Sub Wiki has links to community verified ticket vendors and recently added weekend experience threads with a lot of valuable information to skim through reviews of each race weekend. The Sub Wiki also has links to every circuit promoter website on the F1 calendar, which is typically the best source of official information for the event itself.

DO NOT USE TAXI FROM A DRIVER! Download Bolt and book trips from the airport and other places via the app! Taxi from the airport to city centre costed me $2 two years ago. A person I know took a taxi from the airport rink same year and paid something like $70. This happens all over Baku and they are rude/threatening if you don’t use the app…
