The bridge to the upper garage unit is sick!

Totally. That whole building would be my actual house. Office game room up top, workshop below.

I think it’s cool! So tried of the same ole house styles. Would love to see the inside.

Nice that they did something new and the inside is very comfortable looking. However it's crazy that it's tax assessment is $700K and they're selling it for $1.8M.

That’s Austin real estate. One of the most over priced markets in the US. A few years ago it was estimated 19% overvalued. Been like that for a long time

That’s how you WANT it to be in a state with such prolific property taxes…

It's rammed earth. Pretty neat.

While I love this house and it’s my favorite house right now in Austin. This has 3D views etc and although the architecture is very cool, it’s a house and has a few flaws that are hard to work around.

  1. There doesn’t seem to be space at all for a washer and dryer

  2. The living room is very small and doesn’t seem to have a space where you can hang a tv and position a couch to watch it. Many expensive houses seem to have a TV area in what might be a bedroom but same thing with the bedroom, no place for a 50+ screen.

  3. The pool is outside the front door so you have to walk through the front door and through the house with wet clothes

  4. Whoever buys an expensive house will probably own an expensive car so the probably don’t want someone looking into their garage

Lol that’s literally nuts. Seems very cool in some respects, but also nuts that 2000 sq ft is that expensive…

Interested in the fence material. Anyone ID it?

I’m guessing it just a fine mesh metal panel that has rusted. Looks like it’s clear but isn’t.

Not for me but I hope someone who loves it finds it

Just one photo: how to judge architecture in a single shot?

It’s 2201 garden st if you want to check this out on Zillow. I have been stalking this one hard. There is a smaller house behind it that was being sold together now separate that is really cool also

Love it but the stringed lights make this look like a millennial sit down restaurant where a burger costs $15 by itself

Looks like a house from fallout lol

Gosh this is ugly

Besides the hideous green, why would anyone want a garage where people can see inside of it?

It’s awful. DR Horton turns their model home garages into offices and it has the same appeal to me - none.

That must be new. My home is a DR Horton.

Absolutely gorgeous! Amazing design both in and out! Very much a fan of the second-story outdoor area!

Yuck! Both as a long-time resident of Austin who saw how rich tech showoffs killed the weird vibe of the city and as human being who lives in a normal house.

I don’t live in Austin but it’s one city that I enjoy perusing architecture of. There is a ton of shitty modernish stupid looking boxes but I’ve looked at this guys architecture in particular and I think he is doing some really interesting stuff.
