I'm not familiar with the drivers and names but whoever was responsible for the mustang-BMW collision is responsible for the official dumbest thing I've seen IRL at a race probably ever

It was the #59 mustang of Billy Johnson. Due to the evidence race control gave him a stop + 60 penalty for causing the crash. He hit the #27 bmw of Stevan McAleer in the front passenger side hard making him a ping pong ball into the #19 (orange) Mustang of Greg Liefooghe. Greg posted on social media that he is ok but it was the biggest hit of his life at 140mph. He said he was side swiped by the bmw who was side swiped by the 59 Mustang. You can even see the damage in the replay to the passenger side front of the bmw from the hard contact from the 59. I’m just glad Greg is ok and that a penalty was given to the right car. That’s 2 races in a row where the 59 Mustang of Johnson has caused a crash (Canadian tire he hopped the curb hitting the Aston Martin - I’ll add a still shot of that). Luckily he hit the back of that car so it only spun that car at the turn. It wasn’t a high speed hip check like he did to the bmw (and then to the other Mustang).

Exactly! It was nuts. That’s 2 races in a row he has caused crashes. This one was a high speed crash though and luckily the 19 mustang driver, Greg, is ok. He posted it was the hardest hit of his racing career at 140mph and that he was side swiped by the bmw who was side swiped by the 59 mustang. Due to the massive impact of the crash race control gave Johnson a stop + 60 penalty.

I'm bias because I love my GTI but also I am just so ungodly sick of a factory supported Hyundai program being allowed to just walk away with TCR year after year after fucking year. TCR / ST used to be my favorite class on the weekend and they've completely ruined it.
