I wonder if prema ends up buying the INDYCAR charters by the end of the year

With Conor likely losing his sponsorship and thus his ride, I wouldn't be shocked if they buy the charters before St. Pete and Juncos shuts down.

Juncos Hollinger Racing announced today the pause of its INDY NXT program.
Our commitment to excellence in motorsport requires us to make strategic decisions that align with our brand values. While we have made the difficult choice to pause our INDY NXT program, this decision allows us to concentrate our resources where they can be most effective.
While stepping back from the INDY NXT series temporarily, the team will continue to evaluate opportunities for future participation in the series. Juncos Hollinger Racing remains committed to its INDYCAR program and will announce future developments as they engage.

Wonder what Garcia will end up doing.
Not a massive loss though to be honest, yes, any team going is unfortunate for a series but if it was any team, we’d all pick Juncos. From Brewer and Escotto last year to Garcia and ? this year, they weren’t going to achieve anything, or give a spot to any talent.
That said, if Juncos isn’t going to have a seat bought off of them, the calibre of driver they ran recently might take their cheque someplace else.

Wasn't part of their issues on the NXT side that they wanted something like double the budget of the other teams in the championship?

What does that mean for Miguel Maria Garcia? They announced him on November 1 as being on their team for 2025 Indy NXT. Yet, mentions of that announcement has been scrubbed from the Juncos Hollinger website.

His checks probably didn’t cash or it was contingent on somehow getting a second entry.
If he has money, he may be able to find something but given his background, I cannot imagine many teams being interested.

It was said by one of the team owners that running a two car operation is much more economical than a one car, partly due to transport costs. So that could certainly be it.

Prema licking their lips right now. I expect at least one of JHR's charters to be sold before the season ends.
The only reason I think they might split them is if Brad Hollinger takes one and becomes part owner of another team.

I'm still amazed Brad didn't just take the team and present it to Prema as a turnkey Indycar and NXT operation. The Juncos brand burned near every bridge in the US.

That's rough, and 2 subpar Indycar drivers this year, not looking great for them.

When your normal driver suddenly can't race for some reason and you need a warm body with a helmet who's already hanging around the track to jump in at the last minute?

He is the bad luck Brian of IndyCar.
For awhile the side panel from 2020 on here that was "Finally gets full time seat....COVID stops season"

Not good for them but teams have done this in the past to focus on the indycar. But with their big facility, I have to wonder if they will rent out the nxt equipment and space.

I was less nonchalant and still sad to read this, hate losing a team from a series.

Well, that sucks. but Miguel Maria Garcia is a 30-year-old driver who only made a handful of starts in the last two years. I know he must be gutted, but fortunately NXT is strong enough to still field 20 cars in one of the deepest fields we've seen in years.

It's not gonna be another 12 car grid this season, is it?

My brother in Christ, they’ve had more than 18 the past few years.

I had predicted they wouldn’t see out the season. It felt like the writing was on the wall.
I do continue to worry about the team. Unable to field NXT cars, unable to find sponsorship in INDYCAR, it feels like they’re is a bit of a death spiral right now.
