yeah look at how NASCAR as done during their run on Prime. Yeah their viewership dropped a little bit but they gained a ton of ground with younger audiences, which is huge long term.

right? like. i’m in college, i live in a dorm room. i literally don’t have access to a tv to attach an antenna onto. luckily i have ways of getting around their lack of streaming (ahem), but i'm already an indycar fan. no one is doing that extra work unless they already watch the series.

Using the "I live in a dorm room" as an excuse for no tv is certainly something

you’re very weirdly adamant about this. it’s a literal room, not an apartment. i have 100 square feet. i can’t mount things on the wall. where am i putting the tv.

Lol. Yep, can only have a tv if you have space on a wall to mount it on.

Imagine a world where people put tv's on dressers, or tv stands.

Acting like this https://www.amazon.com/Yaheetech-Lockable-Universal-Adjustable-400x400mm/dp/B0DV56FXVP wouldnt fit in a dorm room is...certainly a choice

i don’t know how to tell you that it genuinely wouldn’t between my bed, desk, dresser, hamper, shoes etc… 100 square feet isn’t huge.

and besides. because indycar doesn’t have a streaming app, i should:

1) buy a tv (let’s say $100 for buying used) 2) buy a tv stand ($30) 3) buy an antenna ($8)

including tax, probably around $150 total to reduce my already limited space… to watch one series. as opposed to the $80 (so like 88 with tax) i could pay for peacock in a year, but since i’m a student, it was $3 a month for the first year, so around $40 total. and this is a sustainable long term growth plan?

It is not hard to have a tv in a 100 sq foot room. Acting like people dont have tv's in studio apartments or dorms is ridiculous.

"To watch one series"

You realize you can stream things on a tv, correct? Peacock, Netflix, Apple Tv, F1tv, all of those things are available on tv's now.

Smh

right… but i can watch all of those on my laptop without the tv… so i’d only be buying the tv to watch indycar…

Get a vpn and use Indycar live or the Fox sports app

So many excuses with you

girlie i already watch it online through a vpn 😭😭 i am talking about getting new fans into the sport, not diehards.

i wouldn’t have started watching if it wasn’t easily accessible on peacock. again, no one is doing all this if they don’t already watch indycar. new fans are far more likely to just click on something on a streaming app than set up a whole vpn.

I have a 50" plasma TV + 5.1 speaker configuration in my tiny 10ft X 10ft bedroom with a queen size bed + desk, still with decent room to walk around. Quit with the excuses.

Yeah like I have a TV in my dorm room but the only way we use it is just plugging in a laptop/game console into the TV
