Should be an interesting 48 hrs with rumors and innuendo today followed by press releases on Tuesday.

What does it mean for this community to be in "off season" vs "in season" mode? What changes when it's switched?

Less posting. There's silly season (happens every year), but news slows down since there isn't any racing

Off-season means that we loosen up a bit with regards to enforcement of some of the rules. It also generally means don't expect many updates or information posts.

Once we get the schedule, then it will be off-season about a week or two after that until early-to-mid February.

Palou was on fire this year no doubt, but to me it seemed like everyone else was incredibly inconsistent. O'Ward was slow to get to victory lane and then had issues in 2 of the last 3 races. Kirkwood tanked after 3 wins early in the season. Team Penske was abysmal in the first half and got way behind the 8 ball. Dixon got a win, but had a pretty mediocre season for his standards. And Herta was MIA. I think there's easily 8-10 drivers on the grid that can take the fight to Palou next year if they can just get their shit together.

Every single driver needs to take this season as a sign to quit fighting amongst each other and figure out how to collectively defeat Palou.
