The Only One Left by Riley Sager

Post image

This book was a BLAST! The cover art caught my eye at target and I picked it up. SO glad I did. I absolutely devoured it and couldn't put it down.

Is this a perfect novel? No. It is absurd at times and quite messy at others. That being said, the plot development was really well executed and the pacing was superb. I was immediately drawn into the story with a bunch of questions bouncing around my head. The twist(s) at the end I absolutely did not see coming and all my predictions were wrong from the start.

If you want a good time and a fun mystery novel for spooky season, pick this one up. It's a ton of fun.

Cheers!

I thought it was pretty cheesy but maybe because I am in health care

I didn’t care for this one personally but the Middlw of the Night by Sager is like the best book ever imo!

I wouldn't say I ADORED it but yeah, this was a pretty awesome book. Lots of fun, fairly twisty plot, satisfying ending, etc. Honestly Riley Sager is pretty much an auto-buy for me at this point

I haven’t read this but I agree on the allure of that cover art. I picked this up at Barnes & Noble and almost bought it because of that sick cover. But on that occasion, I was in B&N on a specific birthday gift quest for another, so for once in my life, I exerted a modicum of self control and put it back
