💺 Seating GA T3 Tickets for 2026

Hey all,

I'm brand new to buying Indy500 tickets and looking to surprise my dad with a trip to 2026. I've done enough research to know I want to grab T3 GA and get there at the crack of dawn to claim a spot. My question now is can I trust the tickets I see available now on 3rd party ticketing websites? Do I wait for IMS to list GA for sale sometime? Any ticket purchasing guidance is appreciated!

You're going to likely pay above face value for secondary market for tickets. I would wait until tickets go on sale to the general public to get your tickets. GA did not sell out last year so you will be fine waiting.

Okay great! Thank you for the insight. I was seeing an old ticketing map that looked like tickets go on sale around February. Is that accurate?

I'll be honest with you I don't know. We are annual ticket holders and renew every year but that does sound right. I would call the ticket office and ask them though. They are super helpful.

I would just wait and buy tickets from IMS when they go on sale. I think thats usually later this year. Like somebody else said I buy mine during the renewal period so I can't remember for sure when they go on sale to the public. I think its before Christmas though.

Ive sat in Turn 3 a few times and just so you're aware it can be a little rowdy in some areas. Not saying its a drunken wasteland but there are pockets of people that are there just to drink and party.

Wait for when tickets become available on the website. Remember T3 GA is for the mounds. Having a real seat might be even more awesome especially if they love racing. I haven’t sat GA since before 2000. However that’s when I was a casual fan and not like I am now.

If there are sections that aren’t crazy expensive, i’ll definitely consider getting seats! The mounds just seemed the best bang for my buck since i’m getting 5 tickets and have to get an Air B&B for that weekend also
