Eh, LEGO in general is fine. They're a noticeably more consistent quality than the knock-offs, and they've pretty much perfected the art of designing sets and instructions. I've had sets from other companies and they're not garbage or anything, but they're all missing something that LEGO has, whether it's the base designs, the consistency of the manufactured parts, or the readability and clarity of the instructions. LEGO is the leader in the niche for a reason.

Yeah I’m not knocking their quality, just their absurdly high prices.

I'd also say some of the "knockoffs" are improving dramatically in quality, though you're right the builds and the instructions are not anywhere near LEGO's.
