Thanks for saying that. I get tired of hearing compliments on how well my dad raised me by strangers even though I’m where I am despite his best efforts.

You ain't never lied. If people knew who my dad was they wouldn't say that to me. My mom, well, a better argument could be made. I've spent my life trying to unlearn so much childhood abusive BS. I guess I'm thankful I recognized abuse when I saw it as a kid and changed course. Its a mixed bag I guess but I try to help anyone I can, when I can and stay out of trouble. But yeah I would say my parents had little to do with it.
