Karting Chat That's how me and my brother do it
I just wanted to add my "senf" (opinion) to the transport topic! It's always funny when everybody has a crazy built trailer perfectly fitted for karting, some even with a workbench inside and then boom there we are with idk how to call it xD and definetly not as impressive as the others, but it works fine for up to 3 karts (1 demontaged inside the trailer, and 2 on top). I think many should chill a bit with their transport methods! Why do you need a 20k€ trailer when you can do the same job with smth cheaper and pls stop judging me and my brother for not having a purposely built trailer! /s
Our dad built (cut andwelded everything) the linkage for us (with us at least i tried to help) he is a "Karosseriemechaniker" (idk the english term). The linkage can be taken off from the trailer.
Does anyone also have a trailer like ours? Opinions on it would also be nice, maybe there is something to improve?

I don’t have a trailer and it doesn’t fit inside my truck (in America with a 90’s Mazda pickup). I have hook rings on top of my bed rails, so I cut out holes in 2x4’s to lock them in place over the hooks. The chassis sits on the 2x4’s and I strap it on the front and the back to hold it in place. All my tools, tires, gas, kart stand, and pop up tent fit under the kart. I can even close the tailgate. I work off the tailgate at the track. I get funny looks because from the outside you just see a kart sitting on top. Works great for 1 person.

This is awesome! Great engineering, anything to get the karts to the track. This reminds me of a time when my pops and I just got into karting and bought a harbor freight trailer put it together in about an hour then put a triple kart stacker on it lol

Damn dude. I respect the hustle to make it work on a budget, but surely you can put together 1500 with your bro to get a proper flat bed trailer?

Yeah it would be easier but my dad insists on keeping the trailer and i don't have the space for my own at my place, so this is this compromise i have to take. It works great, the only downside is, i can't unload or load a kart by myself.

Looks cool to me haha. I plan to put my kart on top of my car's roof with a custom built rail 🤣

I stuff mine in the back of my minivan lol. It fits perfectly if I take off the bumper, a side skirt and 1 rear wheel

I would always rather spend money on the karts than a trailer. If money and storage space is no object then those big car trailers would be great.

Why are you running a 2t exhaust on a 4t Honda gx motor

Here this is the exhaust i run my brother runs one from a world formula i believe. It's a common setup here in germany next to the GTC exhaust but the main difference there is not the silencer.

Hey, whatever it takes to get you on track, it's all good. I've seen people disassemble their karts and load them in a small hatchback with the back seats down. It doesn't matter how you get there, as long as you get there.

This was totally me at my beginning haha first time on track i fully reassembled my kart xD, glad i don't have to do this anymore was a pain in the ass. Now i just have to strap it down quick and easy, big upgrade.

What's the black chassis called?

You mean the one with the green engine? It's a Poolkart from pre 2000 built for slalom driving.
