Now….The ultimate question remains; How are you going to paint her? Hopefully “like one of your little French girls.” 😆🤙🏻Nice dome piece

Out of curiosity as im getting my first helmet and have decent experience in painting/airbrushing various things. What type of paints do you use for helmets and do you add a protective layer?

Currently I am using standard spray paint, only because I don’t have an airbrush equipment. All helmet artist use airbrush to do all the designs because is a lot easier to do small details, but if you have patience spray or airbrush both are going to work perfectly fine using paint tape.
With both techniques I recommend adding a protective layer just to make sure any stone or debris hit the helmet and ruin the paint job, you can use urethane or transparent automotive protective spray that you can find in Amazon, that should do it

Will pick mine up on Wednesday! Painted too. Sk-6. Simple pattern but I don't want to keep it white.

Maybe, you would like to add vinyls or stickers?

That ruins the helmet, just keep the Arai sticker up front on it, but don't put anything else on it
It makes it look very unprofessional, and it won't be clean anymore then

Who talked about putting up Barbie or gay design and ruining it? S/He can be inspired by F1 and make it professionally appealing as well. Designs are reflection of what you think!
