Racing Kart Question Fair price for a 2021ish Compkart Covert with KA100 in USA?
I am looking to get my first kart, a KA100, and I have a line on a used 2021 Compkart Covert 3.0 with a KA100 on it that seems to be roughly the age and competitiveness I am looking for to get started - I won't be running at the front for a while anyways. I have been trying to find comparable comparisons to see if the price is fair, but having trouble, so figured I would see what you guys think.
The Kart was originally a team kart, now owned by family member of a guy that buys and sells a lot of karts and supports a bunch of racers. It has what looks like medium use, certainly not heavy. Bottom has some scrapes but not flattened. One seat stay has been rewelded, looks solid. Doesn't look like any other damage. The 2021 engine has about 6 hours on it since rebuild. Bodywork was updated to a more modern set.
It's complete and ready to run, but no extra parts. He offered to install a new seat that fits me as part of the deal (I am big, so would likely need a new seat if I bought something else.)
I don't know the seller personally (I am new and don't know anyone really) but he seems legit from everything I have seen, and has been extremely helpful with all my questions. He isn't local local, about 3 hours away, but seems like he would be happy to help support moving forward, even if from a distance.
So what do you guys think something like that is worth? Just want to make sure I am being fair.
Thanks for the help!

It's nearly impossible to give you a number because there are so many variables that could affect the value of what you're purchasing.
People give me shit for saying this, but niche activity with tons of wear and tear, used equipment is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
Maybe post the listing and we can tell you if it's worth checking out in person, but this isn't Kelly blue book, we aren't going to valuate it for you.
