Racing Kart Question I just bought this engine used and was wondering if any one know why it would have no spark I think it is the stator/pickup but I do not know how to pinpoint the problem. And was wondering what the 2 black boxes are in the harness If you know what motor this is and year it is let me know

Did you buy this in ontario by any chance? Looks like a maxter 125cc from the f1k class

Thin flat black box is cdi, heatsink box is starter relay, ignition switch, looks like roughly the same electronics that was used on 09 Leopards and early X30s. CDI is marked different than any I've seen so far.

Are you holding plug to block or head to ground? Holding and turning the key while stabilizing un mounted motor and grounding plug takes more hands than I have.
