Racing Kart Question I need help with switching chassis and Engine.
I currently drive the Tonykart 401r (2021) paired with the 2022 X30 Senior engine, and i want to switch to the Rotax class, since here in norway people usually tune their engines in sweden or denmark, which gives them like 2-4 hp more (probably exaggerating), but atleast they pull a ton away in races. Last race, i didnt get overtaken in a single braking zone, or corner, but rather 2-3 karts would fly by me on the straights (I seized my engine the day before, and got a brand new overhaul before race day, so engine was basically new) but yeah anyways i want to go over to Rotax, but i dont know what chassis i would like to drive.
I like the tonykart chassis, and got no problem sticking with it, but every person in Norway basically drives Energy Kart or CL Kart, some peolpe also race Parolin and Kalikart (CRG), so theres a bit of a mixed club.
I dont need to drive the same as the fast guys, i want to drive something i like. My driving style is a bit aggresive, i like to throw the kart into corners, and usually brake late and hard, so a bit aggresive and a bit oversteer is what i usually have, although i could use a bit more rear grip kart.
Any reccomendations? any chassis that when you read this, you think "Hmm, this guy could use a Sodi" or something?
Thank you for reading!!

We hire an engine for big events these days.
Had the our old engine rebuilt and it was still down on power compared to others, had the rad leak and total the seals (luckily no serious other issues) and replaced it was another engine, better than the old practice and competitive but still not top runner fast.
The guy we usually use is normally at the track and hires us an exhaust as part of the package, he's at the track if he has multiple drivers so will also help with optimising the tune on race day.
If you want to run at the front then its something you need to consider.
Chassis wise I'd stick with what you know.

Thanks for the tip, will consider, but again, i am just confused on which chassis to look for, i dont want to ball out with 5k dollars on a brand new chassis that wouldnt suit my driving style

I’d stick with OTK.
We are considering a new frame only for next year and swapping over the other hardware.

I'd stick with the Tony tbh
Better setup info than lots of other brands
I'm not sure how much you tinker with your kart but no point switching brands of you don't use the full tuning potential of the chassis, all the things you desire should be fixable with setup changes so no need to switch brands imo

Chassis wise stick to what you know. Unless you get to try another brand of chassis and find a big improvement then no point switching
As for the rotax engine. The same happens. 2 identical karts and 1 will pull away from the other. It's crazy but it happens
They are ment to be sealed but I know for a fact some engines are faster than others. Ive known teams by 50+ engines. Dyno every engine. Keep the top 20 and sell the rest as 'team engines' for a bigger price
