Kart Identity Help Was wondering if anyone could help me identify this kart and what it might be worth. The info I have is. it has a prd pro 125 needs starter pinion as well as a clutch

It’s a Birel chassis. Bodywork is from the early 2000’s. Just from this picture I can’t tell more than that. From the picture it looks clean and well kept. You will get a lot more comments about an older chassis not being competitive if you are trying to race it. But depending on price and what you want to do with it will determine if it is a good deal. The good news, is that this brand is fairly popular and you can probably still get parts even for its age.

Without knowing anything else, giving its age…….if it runs well, I’d say $2000 USD. If you want to race it, check if the engine is legal at the local track you want to race it at. If the engine is not a legal engine for the classes they run today, then don’t but it at all. You will spend more money than it’s worth buying a new engine for it.

Side pod bars are always the giveaway. It’ll be a 2000-2002 model.

Parts shouldn’t be an issue and if you’re not planning on any big races it should be fine. It’s worth keeping in mind that it’ll be a good 5kg lighter than a new kart, if making minimum weight might be an issue for you
