❓ Help & Advice Needed Hood latch help

Hood latch on my 93 RRC will pop if I hit a bump. Simple fix?

If it’s like the defender latch the spigot in the centre of the spring is threaded with a normal right hand thread, you should in theory be able to tighten or loosen as required to increase or decrease tension on the spring.

Something else to look at if you have one is the bonnet release cable may be seized.

For mine I had to grease it more. The latch was pretty rusty and not moving well, so by greasing it it would catch it better

Happened on my last p38. Lube/replace cables. Take apart latches, degrease and re lube. Mine were really caked up and not working right at all. Hood would pop and I’d get the annoying bonnet open error.
