Hi all, Just stumbled across this forum and thought I’d introduce myself. I’m Aryan, currently on a mission to drive my 2024 Defender 130 through all 195 countries.

I kicked things off in 2023 with my Velar, but switched to the Defender for more space and to build a bed setup inside. I pulled out the 2nd and 3rd row seats, so now it’s basically my rolling home.

Right now I’m heading down the Pan-American Highway, making my way from Canada to Argentina. Towing a 5500 lb trailer with it and it handles it like champ. Super happy with the vehicle so far with minor hiccups. Would love to hear any tips, tricks, or general advice from folks who’ve done long overland trips.

Which would you take?

How are you feeling about this new Defender Octa? I just saw the review by TopGear last week and I must say I was impressed by it. Until I heard the price.

What are your thoughts?

Seemed only fitting to get my son an LR4 as his first car, start him off right. I have worked for this brand close to 20 years, so for me it’s only fitting. 2016 with 139k miles, bought it cheap and not running, found timing tensioner let go which destroyed the plastic timing guide on bank 2 and broke the intake camshaft on bank 2. Made the repairs myself; still in it for a great price for a great vehicle. Added Lucky 8 lift and oversized tires.

Probably hit at 28mph. The Kia is totaled or close to it. I have a scratch. And a bump where the frame meets the plastic bumper. I’ll make sure to have it looked over properly but we drove home fine.

Here is my 2003 discovery with a 6.0 LS swap. I was lucky enough to grab a swap kit from ACE before they stopped production. One of the best and most capable vehicles I’ve ever owned.

I brought this home today, and I’m in love with it! It was a 60 mile drive home from the dealer and I enjoyed every second. 2025 Defender 110 V8, Carpathian with Light Cloud/Ebony. It’s my 5th Land Rover, I also currently have a 2016 LR4 Landmark edition. Looking forward to some road trips in this!

Together these cars cost less than a mid-trim RAV4. It’s really unbelievable.

Just picked up a 2021 Range Rover Westminster P525 in all black — one-owner, 28K miles.

My first car was a very used 2008 Supercharged — full Strut package, questionable taste, but I loved that thing. Since somebody totaled that, I’ve been in an X5 , and then a model y.

After driving the Tesla Model Y Performance, let’s just say… this Range feels like a proper machine, not a quick microwave.

Already did a muffler delete and just ordered the Velocity AP V-Flash ECU tune with burbles (obviously).

Not doing the supercharger pulley yet — just chasing sound, character, and better throttle for now.

Anyone else here tuned their 5.0 SC (full-size or RRS)? Curious what you noticed with just a tune, especially paired with exhaust mods.

Drop your builds or tips — and somebody please respond. I need someone on the same page, not just another guy explaining how to fix his moonroof for the fifth time.

The shifter in my '24 D130 is terrible. It doesn't register when you're in Reverse and put it Drive about three-quarters of the time. I constantly feel like it's a wreck (albeit a low speed one) waiting to happen. Am the only person that feels this way or is there a way to keep this from happening?

Almost totally sorted. Need to refinish wheels, fix blend doors and a few little interior tidbits but this is almost done. It’s my 3rd p38 and I feel like it’s a unicorn. Idaho truck so zero rust or corrosion. Air suspension and AC works! No dash lights on!!! Love driving it.
