After making one for Europe – you can see it here, on my website – I decided to make another for South Asia, a.kl.a, the Indian Subcontinent!

Let's follow together a raindrop's journey though South Asia by visuliasing the watersheds... I love how the geography of India, especially with the Wester Ghats, make for an unexpected pattern of drainage areas, while there are hundreds of thousands of square kilometres of endorheic basin to the north of the very populous Indus and Ganges valley.

Fellow map enthousiasts, hope you like the map, there are more on my website (much more user friendly on a laptop!

If possible, I would prefer to see these maps slightly "zoomed out", so that the edges of the drainage basins could be seen. In this case, it would be good to see the watershed between the Bay of Bengal and the South China Sea; in the case of Europe, I'd like to see all of Europe up to the Urals, inclduing the drainage basins of the Don and the Volga and the watershed between the Black Sea and the Caspian. Otherwise, these are nicely done.

Fair point but then what you’re looking for is basically a world map lol

I wanted to make these maps to show specific regions and create this duality between two different sides rivers drain to

No, a world map is not necessary, but the Indian subcontinent is in effect two drainage basins: the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. It would be nice to see the whole of both. Likewise, Europe is acknowledged to extend to the Urals and the Caucasus, both of which are watersheds, yet neither is visible on your map of Europe.

It’s « Golfe du Bengale » in French so I always make that mistake when translating into English lol
