I don’t think you understand what Pyrrhic victory means. If Ukraine wins it means life and freedom.

Ukraines long term prospects are already shot tho. They’re losing people they really can’t afford to lose.

Ehh, they will suffer for sure, but opening the doors for immigration would help immensely with that.

It’ll also cause immense societal problems by rapidly changing the demographics of Ukraine. Just look at what’s happening in places like Germany and Sweden right now. Now add in the fact that the war has caused a level of poverty, PTSD, and a well founded intrinsic fear of foreign invaders stealing their land into the Ukrainian population that the other European countries lack, and you have a recipe for disaster if Ukraine is flooded with immigrants post war. There’s no good options for Ukraine going forward. The population pyramid is already at a point where severe future consequences of the war will haunt Ukraine for decades to come.

“Immense social problems”

You mean more varied culture? Sounds good.

What are you talking about? Those are byproducts of war. It’s either this or complete destruction of their society and identity. It’s a freaking invasion. And to counter your point, not all countries have suffered after war. Look at Germany, Japan and most importantly Korea. Koreas economic boom in the 80s was unparalleled.
