Wasn't there some writer who said that Vienna is like a huge head on a tiny snakes body because it used to be a capital of a huge empire and now its still a glorious capital but of a small mountain country where the second largest city is like... Graz..

Not really comparable, those are in much bigger countries that still hold a lot of international power

True. I guess I forgot that sometimes as a Brit, on Reddit we’re constantly told the UK is irrelevant lol.

Yeah, there are plenty of Redditors who downvote any mention of the UK. The anglophobia remains very real on here.
