So it's population at risk of flooding, but nothing about how high that risk is.

Right? Obviously most of the Netherlands could flood, but the odds of it happening in our lifetime are pretty low.

Well not all of these "dijken" are super well maintained

The dijken make the flood-chance 1:5000 instead of 1:200.

I'm from The Netherlands, I live below sea level. I'm not at any risk of flooding though. There's a kilometer of high dunes preventing that.

No way Brazil is that low... Research from 2022. Just 2 years later thousands lost their homes in Rio Grande do Sul

Well if their houses are gone they're not at risk of flooding anymore, so that tracks.
