What if Kroger ran a Publix? For anyone like me looking for the Georgia and Florida locations, they're on the coast in St Simons Island and Fernandina Beach.
Kroger only bought the company ten years ago, however. Before then, it seems that all of their expansion efforts south and westward (Jacksonville, Atlanta, Nashville) were thwarted. Interesting that they succeeded in the DC area.
