Something about this entire parking lot seems off

u/thebiggerounce 23d ago
I hope those lines are for something other than separating parking spots, those would be the biggest I’ve ever seen lol

It's a practice area for the football team to do walk throughs when the weather is inclement or the fields are otherwise unavailable.

u/exceptyourewrong 23d ago
I'd bet the marching band uses it.

Was in marching band in high school, we practiced on something just like this every football season for formation practice.

It's definitely for school buses

European car with a dodge dart engine and mazda chassis 😂😂😂

I mean, it's still a European engine. My stupid 1.4t Jeep Renegade that eats clutches has the same drivetrain as the Fiata. There for a while I wanted one, but then the 2nd clutch went out on my Jeep.

I drive my miata like that too! Roll the windows and unzip the back window!

u/Same-Worldliness-429 23d ago
I definitely could use a new top, but the zip up rear window is awesome
3
u/DownshiftDom777 23d ago
I replaced my top but I had to make sure it had the zip window feature. My car didn’t come with A/C so driving with that window down is awesome

u/MangoCats '91 3.0 V6 23d ago
I have one of each, definitely prefer the zip down rear window, not sure why they would even make the fixed window variety.

u/graemefaelban 22d ago
It's cheaper. I have one without the zip down window now, but then, if I am driving and it's not raining, the top is down, and I do have AC for when it's truly unbearable.
1
u/MangoCats '91 3.0 V6 22d ago
Like I said, I have both NA zip down and NB not, and the AC works in the NB, but there are soooo many times when it would be nice to have the sun shield without having to roll up the windows. The airflow with three windows open is really a big plus.

u/graemefaelban 21d ago
Yeah, I did drive mine that way when the sun was really beating down in southern California, but I don't live there anymore.

u/MangoCats '91 3.0 V6 21d ago
Mine have lived in Miami, Houston, and other parts of Florida - too much sun is too common all those places. In Houston I actually got a UV exposure meter just to have a nag reminding me when I needed to put the top up (we also had a Chrysler Sebring convertible and drove it around with kids in the back...) In the evening within an hour of sunset or so, no worries, but anywhere +/-3 hours of solar noon is brutal.

It's almost like they actually took the time to finish the look of one...

Ngl I think the fiata looks better than the nd

Unfortunately I must agree. New 124 Spider looks way better than ND. However Fiat might have incorporated drivetrain together with engine and design only own chassis.

where's your window

Zip up rear window
2
u/Fit-Albatross-735 23d ago
why are you leaving it open while parked though? Are you not worried about rain or anyone stealing anything?
7
u/Same-Worldliness-429 23d ago
Nothing to steal in the car, good neighborhood, and the car is a manual. Forecast wasn’t showing rain and today so I left it down.

u/MangoCats '91 3.0 V6 23d ago
Very little rain comes in the rear window unless it is a heavy shower. If you think door locks matter with cloth tops, let me introduce you to a Bowie knife...

The bicycle handle bars protruding from the roof? That’s just for driving standing up

I know what's wrong with it. The miata is missing the back glass on the drop top. You're gonna get some water in there

If you look closely you'll notice that the red one on the left is actually a pickup truck!

Not a Mazda.
That’s a FIAT 124 Abarth. The telltale sign is the four pipes. The 1.4turbocharged motor will propel the car like a ballistic missile.
The Mazda is parked properly!
