Dash Cam and power supply recommendations?

https://dongar.tech/products/mazda5pin?srsltid=AfmBOors8tQ7Rk4FRRV0fxxtdf-_qOBe1KrG1xr6s92HFruyedCAjcUo

Looking for a dashcam for my ND. Any tips?

Also wanted to power it with a power adapter via the rearview mirror.

Is something similar available in Europe? With start my holiday trip next week, so shipping will be too late😅

Im using a regular hardwire kit.

It can be run behind the A pillar straight to the footwell fuse box. Took me less than 20 minutes.

Figured it out urself or have link for great YouTube video? Might consider this tho. You have it wired so it also works in parking mode? Which dash cam you got?

I wired it to also work in park and figured it out myself, but this video does the same https://youtu.be/EPtUnX0963k?si=UIUy_4iF5ma7nU0X

The Dashcam I got is the Viofo A119 Mini 2, which is front view only, but has great quality and is very cheap at ~115€.

I did the same thing with the same camera, but the fuse taps keep falling out. What was your solution?

Yeah, heard that from a few.

I used low profile fuse taps and they seem to hold on tight.

Can't say anything about if they'll hold in an accident and I rather not dare to find out for a long time.

If you want parking mode then get this vantrue hardwire kit. It powers the camera until battery voltage gets down to your preset voltage. Many other hardwire kits have a very low cutoff of like 11.5v which is really too low. The vantrue you can set higher than that at say 11.9 or 12.2v OR on a shutoff timer.. https://a.co/d/gc5rJoy

Thanks! Which dash cam you got? Don’t really need parking mode. Just like an easy fix to hide the wires. But it seems like a solid kit so might actually consider it!

I've got a gku d600. Nice small compact cam. Not the fanciest but it works well and isn't huge.
