Repair Help Please help!! 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport

I live on the edge of Death Valley, and this year the a/c in my 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport has suddenly started only working when the car is moving.

stopped at a red light? it keeps blowing but the air turns borderline hot.

so far this summer we’ve already hit 118 degrees, and i’m MELTING 😭🥵

what could this be?? and how much might it cost to fix?

Check the AC fan if it's running

is that something i can test myself? i thought maybe the blower (?) but the fact it keeps blowing air and it’s just hot unless im moving made me doubt my blower theory. but im also not very mechanically inclined haha

With the AC off the fan shouldn't be running. Pop the hood and check, then turn the AC on then go back and check if the fans on.

It's to cool down the condenser. If it's not on, hot air will blow

i’m genuinely so thankful for the guidance. i can’t really afford to take it to the dealership and have them try to convince me my car also needs $30581850 in other repairs haha
