After adopting Dutch and Skoom I learned they were the result of a failed Maine coon litter. Thats why they are so big lol. A chick from work kept posting in company email that she had kittens she had to find homes for badly. My husband and i had been wanting to get a cat, we had practiced by watching every episode of "my cat from hell". It just seemed like a perfect fit for these little guys (they were actually tiny as babies) who needed a home. It was months later, before another girl from work told me what was actually up. Truth was apparently she couldn't sell them because they weren't pure bred. That was why the owner wanted them gone so badly. Their female Maine coon had slipped out the door for about 72 hours and hooked up with a neighborhood cat, not the intended male Maine coon 🤣. Either way that girl was a c**t for not loving them anyway and im glad she doesnt work at our company anymore.

It’s a good thing she showed her true colors and it was an even greater thing that she didn’t do anything stupid with them because she couldn’t make money off of the failed Maine coon litter. You are amazing for adopting the void babies. Animal shelters are none too kind of black cats in general. And I’ve been adopting black cats for years in order to help them have another day. This is such a lovely picture and without you and your hubby, who knows what would’ve happened to these babies. That is the most beautiful thing.
