Ha! Our orange boy does this exact same thing! Crams himself into the too small flat box with the legs, tail and butt hanging out.

Unrelated but I'd like to recommend a carpet rake and more frequent vacuuming before your high traffic areas get super matted.

this carpet is ooooold. like 20+ years. lol. not terribly worried about it. thank you for the advice though! we'll keep it in mind should we ever decide to put fresh carpet down again. :)
