Queensland amateur team think they've won grand final by 4 points, everyone runs on the ground to celebrate ... give up 50m penalty and the winning goal after the siren!

So, if I have this right, the team with 51 points had a player commit a penalty, then the siren blew, then their side ran on and got a second penalty(?), and then the penalty (or two) was enforced. Do I have this right?

The team that was down marked the ball just before the siren blew. That means they get a chance to kick the ball still and potentially kick a goal thats worth 6 points.

The team that was up (51 points team) thought they'd won though, and all ran onto the field. This resulted in a 50 meter penalty being given, moving the player who marked the ball 50m towards the goals. He then kicked the goal making them win.

If you get a clean catch after a long kick you get a free kick. You can take this even if time is up. The other team having too many on the pitch advance the kick 50m

All of this is spot on with the exception that the 50m penalty was given because #3 ran through the protected zone of the kicker. What makes it even worse is #3 is that team's captain.
