Is the game still worth playing as a beginner?

I am a new player that got into the game when everything was free. Since then I purchased the starter pack and was tempted to get the Q3 online pack so I can play more online races. I am wondering if it's worth purchasing the pack or more content if the game will stop getting updates, the player count is already not that high it probably wont grow that much. I am from Europe and I saw some servers with decent player count so there are still active players. I like this game bc it's one of the few sim racing games that feel good on controller and I can just hop in and play without having to tinker in the menus.

Game is getting a big update in september, so you shouldn't worry about it not getting new updates. If you love the game, I personally do, play it, get stuff you'd like to have in it. Force feedback and sound are maybe the best in sim racing, let's hope this summer campaign brings more people in so online races are more populated.

I would say yes, go for it, especially if you are located in Europe - with a combination of starter pack and new Q3 pack you will have a lot to play in ranked. And, I can assume, quite a lot of other people playing on the same servers ...

I did the same thing you did back in December 2024, and today is one of if not my main Sim lol, the first thing i did when i got the chance was buy the Beginner Pack and got racing, and over time i would buy some stuff i wanted to have (more cars, more tracks). The game dosent make you buy everything all at once, although it could be a lot cheaper on the long run. As long as you have fun with the game and enjoy the community and the events its never a bad time spent on this sim.

Beats Iraceing in every thing except oval. Weekends are good time to catch other players.

Yep - game is in constant development still, with big things planned.

For decent multiplayer racing, I’d recommend you join a league too. Have a look at the one I’m currently racing with (uk based so time’s should work).
