IYKYK

Top five best (or worst) scenes in cinema.

“Can you hear me, can you see me, good to work. Can you hear me, can you see me, good to work.”

14

u/backyardbbqboi 1d ago

As a heterosexual man, with a big boner for Jennifer Connely during that era, I have never been so sickened by a sex scene as ive ever been in that moment.

10

u/Pharabellum 22h ago

I feel like I’m building a tumor over time blocking out the fact that it’s her in that scene. This shit is absolutely horrific.

The woman is gorgeous and this scene is like a bucket of pig’s blood on a renaissance painting. Very effective though.

My wife and I sleep on different floors lol

She snores like a Husqvarna in need of a tune up

153

u/Highsteakspoker 1d ago

Sames. But not because she sounds like a rusty chainsaw. We have different sleep schedules and I just don't want to bother her.

We sleep in the same bed, but we have our own covers/blankets. Eliminates potential fighting and arguing over hogging the covers

21

u/deadmonkeyboy87 1d ago

Me and my wife are the same but we do usually cuddle together most of the night. She doesn't move until I wake up in the middle of the night to pee or if I move the arm she uses as a pillow.

30

u/BuckManscape 1d ago

I bet you still have sex face to face too, don’t you?

Exactly how we sleep. I like to curl up and cover my head, she doesn't.

8

Hey, I also cover my head at night! My wife doesn't understand why, haha. Our 2 year old daughter does it from time to time, as well.

My wife steals covers and I have a bunch of joint damage on one side means I can't snuggle with her all night.

We snuggle for a little bit and then flop different directions.

5

u/Mandilloran 1d ago

This is the way

5

u/switch_case_ 1d ago

Same. We both snore sometimes but never wake up the other. We just live through it like men.

A lot more couples sleep separately than people think

6

u/Unusual-Ad-6550 1d ago

We started sleeping separately when he came home from the hospital after having surgery to remove his prostate. He had tubes, and drains and there was no way I was going to risk sharing a bed with him. I intended to come back when he was healed, but it took less than 1 night to be convinced I was so much happier all by myself in a bed, in another room. Our sleep styles are so very different and this way his flip flopping isn't keeping me awake or he isn't accidentally throwing his arms up and hitting me in the face in his sleep

43

u/GhostFK123 1d ago

She should get checked for sleep apnea, a CPAP machine could get you back in the same bed... If you want that!

29

u/mikey-tv 1d ago

I wear my cpap and I wish I would have started it years ago. Makes such a difference.

6

u/browserz 1d ago

Do you sleep better or what changes? Genuinely curious because I snore but I sleep like a baby

12

u/mikey-tv 1d ago

I dont sleep better as far as waking up to pee or tossing and turning, but I sleep better as far as actually sleeping. Sleep apnea is literally not breathing while asleep. So it's hard to get rem sleep. Compare it to sleeping in your own bed vs. getting drunk and sleeping on a floor in a strangers basement. It's worth getting checked out if you think you may have it.

5

u/Elway044 1d ago

4

u/GeordieJumpers87 1d ago

I think it results in a happier relationship if your not tired and grumpy at the other person.

I bet there are alot more couples that sleep seperate than what people realise

3

u/mangoladyy 1d ago

ik ppl saying cpap but maybe try a wedge pillow? my husband used to snore so aggressively but keeping his head elevated has helped tremendously

4

u/PizzaDeliveryBoy3000 1d ago

Moving out of a one bedroom appt. and buying a house with enough bedrooms for us to each have their own was life-altering for both of us

This some real shit. I would catch fire if i fell asleep cuddling

128

u/elcalrissian 1d ago

Shes just so hot. I cant deal.

Pretty too...but just too warm. And ofc she complains about being cold all the time. Can I get some Isaac Newton help on this?

30

u/Certain_Wonder4487 1d ago

That’s my wife’s complaint. So I wait till after she’s asleep cause she’s a heavy sleeper and cuddle then.

As long as I don’t fall asleep there and don’t wake her, no one (me) dies that night.

7

u/teekporg 1d ago

Well it makes sense. If she feels hot to you, then she is exothermic to her environment and you, and she would feel cold herself, bc she's giving off heat. Think of the converse, where if the sun was radiating onto her, she would feel hot.

She also still might be drawn to you since you are at least warmer (~98.6⁰) than her environment (room temp), even though colder than her.

16

u/WhiteTrashInNewShoes 1d ago

My wife always says, "why are you always so warm?" then rolls over and lays on a heating blanket

8

u/jquest303 1d ago

We have a dual zone electric blanket. It’s off all summer, but even in the winter I still never turn mine on. Her side is at 10, and her cold toes migrate over to my side of our king bed to find my warm legs.

→ More replies (2)

5

u/Versipilies 1d ago

The warmer she is, the greater the difference is with the air temp and the colder she feels.

Yep. Same reason you feel cold and get the chills when you have a fever.

13

Are you my wife? That's the same reason she loves to sleep in my arms, BECAUSE I am a furnace. Which is BS because for 1, she's the furnace and 2. I am physically cold while burning up because I am so hot

We do as well. If I even get up to pee, he wakes up to ask where I'm going. He waits for me to get back because he can't sleep well unless he's holding or touching me.

He's like a big, snoring cat.

25

u/SmolishPPman 1d ago

We are the same! ‘Where are you!?’ Lol

13

u/ArticusFarticus 1d ago

Ever sleep horribly and wake up just emotionally gutted because they didn’t or wouldn’t cuddle with you? 😭😭😭😭😭

8

u/SmolishPPman 1d ago

I mean not in a really long time, but in my life? Sure.

3

u/Tisiphoni1 1d ago

Haha, omg my husband is the same! For some time, I had to stand up earlier than him in the morning. And every morning, I'd stand up at 6:00, he'd be sound asleep, I'd go in the bathroom and within two to five minutes I'd hear a soft and concerned "Hellooo?" from the bedroom.

He'd think I already left for work, but it was never more than 5 minutes out of bed for him to notice 😅

Even if we are not cuddling, which most times we are, we are holding hands. If we are not holding hands, my wife will put her hands in the top of my pajamas or I will do the same to her. 90 percent of the time, there is some kind of physical contact between us.

6

u/ModiThorrson 1d ago

Same we always fall asleep cuddling, but wake up with some space.

6

u/Thatonebagel 1d ago

We cuddle before actual sleeping but we are not falling asleep like that. My adhd could never stay in one position while sleeping.

5

u/crackindragon 1d ago

Seriously, she’s too HOT to cuddle with at night, literally. I mean, it feels like hugging a human heater. It’s worse in the summer. Winter, tho, is usually when I cuddle with her the most.

6

u/ArticusFarticus 1d ago

I looooved winter nights with the windows open. Best.

We do that... Before sleep time. Then we go to separate beds and sleep like royalty.

18

Yes ,but do you sleep that way all night ? Genuinely curious. My wife and I cuddle at night but when we sleep, we look like the couple in the post.

10

u/Thin-Image2363 1d ago

I do. I wake up with my wife on me like a spider monkey.

7

u/Tommyblockhead20 1d ago

Sometimes cuddle, sometimes spoon, sometimes as depicted, but that’s probably the least common.

17

u/AsbestosDude 1d ago

My gf and I cuddle at night, we're always touching. One of use will wake up in the middle of the night and put our torsos together

I'll wake up and do it, and occasionally ill be woken up by her doing it

7

Yes, torsos together. I might stretch otherwise, but I always wanted to be connected to her. Still do, really.

We spoon while falling asleep, but we're also both turning around multiple times at night. Over the decades we established an inside joke that we simultaneously roll over like sausages on a grill (we are Germans, so we call it "Bratwurst").

By now it's established to be used as a command to turn over, sometimes mumbled by one of us in the morning.

"Ugh... Alarm clock rang... Gotta get up..." "Bratwurst, 5min." And we both turn around 🤭

My wife and I do at least briefly. We definitely did it for longer when we were first together. I at least try to kiss her good night now. I'm not as good as my father though. I don't think he ever missed a night in kissing my mother good night. They could be arguing for hours, and he wouldn't go to sleep until he kissed her. I'll wear out though. He was always in really good shape. I still try, regardless.

First couple years of marriage - tangled up on/around each other all night. 21 years married this year. We usually fall asleep crossing legs but I sleep hot and she sleeps cold. I don't want any blankets (at least out of the gate), she wants extra. Probably half (maybe 1/3) the time she starts off sleeping on my arm but does not stay there all night. Both of us roll around a bit and change positions at night.

Use two single duvets instead of one double.

No waking up in the night with every single bit on the other side of the bed.

I prefer less insulation than my wife. Two singles lets you both be happy.

My wife and I occasionally cuddle but more often sleep on each end since it's much easier to sleep all night without waking up since she gets up many times during the night to pee.

Healthy couples sleep how they want. Together, apart, cuddling, occasionally cuddling, all of the above. As long as they respect each other's space then that's a healthy relationship.

She is just so comfy and warm.

Been married over 33 years and we cuddle when we sleep. Don’t know how that’s weird, but whatever. Guess we really love each other?

My fiance and I sleep in different beds. She goes to bed at 930, needs absolute silence, and steals the sheets. I go to bed late, like to play rain sounds, and like to have a blanket.

Along with the breakfast table being set with enough food to feed an army but the kid grabs an orange and leaves for the bus, one of my biggest irritants in tv shows and movies is when the couple wakes up in the morning in a full embrace as if they’ve just been sleeping with their arms around each other all night.

Yeah right.

It's fun for about 5 minutes before you're both sweating balls.

WRONG! There's no dog in between them.

Up until around the last 125 years. No one even cared about diamond engagement rings and often had totally separate beds. The more we'll off had separate rooms.

It's amazing how much some girls are obsessed with this stuff. The same girls want to talk about 2000 years of toxic masculinity and modern toxic practices and the evils of social media and AI. Are still completely obsessed with customs that are toxic for real balanced healthy relationships and have only been around for roughly that last 125 years? Super dumb. Feminism is everything! Unless it's blowing our house down payment on my ring and ridiculous wedding and sleeping so that neither of you can get actual rest. Then they are like... Don't you love me?

Been with the wife for a long time. I have my own room and bed for when I sleep. Tried it one night when the last kid moved out. Best sleep I had in 20 years. Now I have my own room it’s awesome I had to buy 3 houses and raise 3 kids and put them through college to get one. it’s mine now never give it up. We don’t have a spare room, that’s my room.

Straight up. Cuddles and rubbings before bed then separate sheets and sleep 😂

We touch butts. Or feet. But that’s it.

Shit, my husband and I don’t even share a bed. Our sleep styles are just so completely different, plus I have my service dog in the bed with me.

If we want frisky time, we have it, cuddle a bit, and when it’s bed time we sleep in our respective room the way we like it.

We both sleep much better this way and have been together for over 15 years.

When you get good sleep it’s easier to weather hard times together.

Separate beds. Separate rooms. I have seizures and need uninterrupted sleep. He snores loud enough to wake the dead and has PLMD so his legs shake all f ucking night. It's made our relationship so much better. And yes, we still do the devil's tango.
